Do You Think It Will Snow This Christmas?

It is freezing cold at the moment in the UK, so I am thinking it might snow or become icy soon. Not sure whether it will snow at Christmas, but if I had to predict I would say yes! All the signs so far are leaning towards a very cold Christmas.

I usually wish for snow around Christmas. I'd like it to go away right after that though, LOL!

@marlina Well I like a bit of snow leading up to Christmas. There are a lot of Christmas activities we like to do that require snow, like seeing the decorations and ice skating under the tree downtown, and something called Lights on the Lake where there are huge light displays you drive through. All that stuff is better with some snow. Not a whole ton of snow, just enough to cover the grass.

It is pretty difficult to predict Christmas weather so far in advance.

I hope we have snow by Christmas here. Last year there was no snow on the ground and it seemed so odd without it. Usually we have at least several inches on the ground by then.

It would look really pretty and festive if it did.

It is really hard to say, but most areas that get lots of snow, will more than likely be getting snow for Christmas. Here in Oregon, we don't get much snow, and have never had any at Christmas. That is fine with me though, as it is pretty to look at, but not easy to drive in. Since it is still early yet, no one can predict the weather for Christmas.

That is the only reason why I tend to hate snow is the how hard it is to drive in.

@gudheart I try not to drive in it if I can help it, and my son would prefer I didn't as well, as since I am getting older,I have to be more careful, so I just stay home when it snows, that way I will stay safe.

Well,I am not really sure about that kind of prediction for Ny. It would be normal yes if it should snow. But,it's pretty warm out to be honest.

It said we may get snow this weekend and we never did so I'm glad the weather man was wrong yet again. We usually get snow after thanksgiving so I'm sure we'll have some before christmas. It wouldn't be christmas without any snow

I'm sure it will snow "somewhere", but definitely not where I live! Although it's gotten a bit cooler out here, the sun is out and we're probably in the low 70s during the day. We're also in a drought. I'm positive it will not snow "here".

I've heard that Santa will be bring you snow in Manchester (you put it on your wish list didn't you?), I hope you enjoy, no doubt it will still be raining here in Plymouth.

I'm hoping for a mild winter this year. I'll be working outside most of the winter and hopefully it doesn't get as bad as it did last year.

I have seen plenty of very cold Christmases that do not have snow. I guess we will have to see.

I am retiring in nine days. So it needs to wait until than to snow.
