When we were living in Arizona I was naive about Black Frida . I went into Macy's store, early on Black F riday . I saw on this table a pile of sweaters on sale for next to nothing. So I pick up this pretty blue sweater and suddenly a huge woman grabs the other sleeve and yanks at it then I feel pain like a knife shooting through my forearm. She had stabbed me with something sharp. I saw a security guard who came to me since i was bleeding profusely. He called tthe police as he had seen the whole thing. She was arrested at the check out stand as she could not explain the fresh blood on the blue sweater. The police gave me first aid then I went to the ER and had three stitches put in the wound. Now I do not even think about Black Friday as I know I will never shop on that day again.

The idea of shopping on Black Friday is a definite no for me as well. The practice has only recently been introduced to the UK, but it is already common knowledge that it consists of fighting savagely for every bargain.

@Hatley Everybody knows what the battle for bargains is like and talk about it for weeks after the event, but many still try again the following year.

Black Friday was never here in the UK until last year that is when they started it in the UK and it was a massive disaster People went wild and a lot of People got hurt I do not know why it was started in the UK as we have sales here most of the Year I would not go out shopping on a Day like that and anyway I could get it online and that is the safest way to shop

I would have asked the store to give me the sweater to pay for my pain and suffering and since it was my blood all over it anyways!

I also don't shop on Black Friday especially early in the day as there have been people who where killed in the stampedes of crowds trying to get in the door when they opened to get to the deals which in many cases were in very limited numbers.
