~MyLot Is Boring!~

I always told my kids that the comment "I'm bored" just tells me they have not furnished their brain with enough to think about. Like other complainers, they can just leave.

@jaboUK I don't understand people that get bored so easily. I'm easily entertained I guess. Lol.

yes you are right, at times I myself find it boring when I spend time replying to comments and and don't get reply until the next day. Sometimes I find it hard to find a discussion in which I can participate and have something to add. I have been told by a member that in the month of December and April mylot is rather slow as compared to other months of the year. For the last couple of days, I am feeling it slow. May be because people are busy in Christmas preparations, and not having enough time to spend here. I have joined few days ago and I don't believe that mylot is boring except the last couple of days.

@mike197602 Yeah there are plenty of discussions to choose from in order for it not to be slow. They also said earnings are too slow here, maybe their boredom got in the way of them earning?

@rocky1980 Not everyone is on here at the same time, some people are sleeping when others are here. There's always a lot of discussions to choose from though.

@Bluedoll There are so many people here and so many discussions to choose from-I don't see how anyone could be bored!

@LovingMyBabies Maybe only looked at a few posts and didn't like the topic or something. I don't find it boring either. I look around and find something not hard.

@JakeOmatic You know, a simple solution to the perceived lack of value here on myLot would be for you to create the sort of discussions that you'd like to participate in...

@ataboy I appreciate your opinion on this discussion actually. I don't agree with people being superficial here, I have found many genuine people here that feel more like family than anything else. Again, that's a matter of opinion I suppose. There are so many topics here, I just don't see how someone can't find some they are interested in.

Very good question, @HanVanMeegerin. I see that many seem to avoid mentioning names, and others seem as if they couldn't care less. So I've always tried to tend toward the former group, but when asked directly I belong to the latter! So the answer to your question is principally WebAnswers (WA). Why did I like WA, well I could say the pay was incredible. I just did the math yesterday after discussing a related topic with a friend from the site, and I realized that I pretty much managed to make just shy of $1.00 per post. Yes, that seems incredible, and I'm not one to brag to anyone but the occasional woman that I'm trying to impress (just kidding)! But I had between 2000 and 4000 posts which includes EVERYTHING...questions/answers/comments and so forth. I calculated from my bank statements that I almost made two grand over four years. OK, That's really just meaningless as far as I'm concerned....it's not a paycheck (as far as I'm concerned...though it could be to some people obviously!) And by the way, I sincerely doubt many people make that much at the site relatively speaking. It is very particular about spelling, grammar, punctuation, keywords and so on. I write very long response, though they swear that "size doesn't matter" And I also found my niche...In the science department, since very thing is(was)categorized there. BUT WA is presently a no win game. It's been circling the drain for quite a number of months now...maybe half of a year. As in the owners seem to think it's worthless. If I'm making as much as I was making and they took 40% of that plus made money from various other related programs to some degree, and I was not a volume-poster (Thee are people that write FAR better than I and have tens of thousands of posts!) How can it be a business that's barely able to sustain itself? I liked it because I could ask a question that I wanted to know the answer to and I knew who had intellect and who was a fly-by-nighter from my experience on the site. I could also pose topics that drew lots of people like things that hit a nerve. I remember one post in particular that I asked something like "Aren't atheists savages since they can do whatever they like without having to fear God!?" I couldn't stop people from writing whole page passionate (and some angry) answers! I let them know that it was but a question, not MY OPINION - I'm an atheist myself! But I learned a LOT from the discussions, like how many atheists/agnostics/nihilists honor the golden rule. Probably 95% of the 30-40 responses included an answer that at least indirectly said this. But I could ask a math problem or riddle and people were all over it! I could ask about quantum physics and the nature of time and people were quite interested on the matter. Here..I think I would probably receive a reply or two, maybe a few more from a friend! I'm not huge on small talk, myself....sa you can probably surmise from my present comment! I like to think and use my time pondering deep matters. That...I sincerely miss. But I'll probably be posting these type of discussions anyway...if people never reply, I can talk to myself I guess LOL! Again...WA is presently all but gone...and you can't make any money off of it in it's present state, so I'm not poaching anyone or anything....Don't go there, trust me. Maybe one day things will change, but I doubt it for reasons I am not fully aware of but also are too complicated to get into!

@srisahara Well there are all kinds of discussions here. Sometimes I write about really personal, thinking discussions too. Other times I just write fun ones. I think there are all kinds here, which makes this site fun.

@LovingMyBabies Yes, you are right, various topics make this site does not make me boring here. Most of my posts is about my personal experience and almost nothing about the global issue.

@MALUSE I would also rather be able to trust the site I'm on rather than have other things.

@HanVanMeegerin I agree with you about the look of it not being that attractive. I prefer the look of this site to be honest. And I prefer being able to trust this site 100%.

@MALUSE I never thought Bubblews was that attractive. Arvind's spiel was legendary, but in a bad way.

i not bored here in fact i am addicted to mylot because i am very happy here and enjoy interaction with lots of friends and also making new one so we can more interact day by day,its really good site then others.

@LovingMyBabies yes here so many amazing discussion and friends also so its really good one.but from few days look traffic less here.

@Morethanamom It is on the slower side at times, maybe that is what they meant? I don't know but I love it here.
