Running Out of Time

United States
December 14, 2015 12:01pm CST
I'm feeling the pressure today. I feel as if time is slipping away from me and I won't get all the things done today that I had planned. It's already noon and this is the first chance I've had to check in with myLot. The morning is a blur and it feels like the afternoon will be the same. It's not even that Christmas is sucking up all my time today...it's just the normal, everyday stuff. I have a few minutes to sit here and relax and see what's happening. I need to catch my breath and get myself re-organized. Hope everyone is having a good day and that the sun is shining somewhere!!

I did not realize that Christmas is the next week, I was horrified this morning when I noticed that I have only one weekend left before Christmas.

Take time out of whatever it is and relax a little...calm down and take a deep breath.

@Marilynda1225 Yes it is and I think it's time for me to really relax and go watch some TV.

No sun here, only rain, and makes me feel blah. I get so sleepy, and just pull the covers over my head and stay in bed all day, but then I get nothing done in here either, and I would rather be here than anywhere else anyway. I am hoping for sunshine, as it has been so long since I have seen it that I almost forget what it looks like.

@Marilynda1225 I have noticed that as well. Sunny days give me more energy than cloudy days do. I suppose that is the way it is for most people. It isn't raining anyway, and that is a very good thing.

@rosekiss gray skies always make me tired. I seem to have so much more energy on sunny days

I find that the days where I don't seem to have time for anything, are the days I don't actually do anything. I haven't figured out why.

I run out of time every day of my life and if I stay on here much longer today I will run out of time to finish my ironing.. I write a list and I have a timer, that is the best way for me to manage but today I turned the timer off! Sometimes I just don't want to win the battle with time.

I am like you stuck with everyday stuff and I can hardly get here.. I haven't even started with the Christmas decorations yet.. and the baking needs to be tackled too.

@sofssu I'm starting my baking this weekend but only doing about half of what I usually do. Christmases past I always had dozens of different kinds of cookies baked

For about 2-3 weeks, I was on fire on myLot, writing lots of posts, and spending quite a bit of time commenting and responding to others. But fo the past few days, I have felt like I barely have time to log on to this site, although nothing has really changed in my normal everyday routine. Maybe I am spending the same amount of time on here as before, but it sure doesn't feel like it!

@moffittjc my time here has definitely dwindled as I get ready for Christmas but I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing New Year and plenty of myLot time

@Marilynda1225 I'll be active on here up until Christmas, and then after Christmas I leave for a week-long family vacation to Disney World. Although I'll probably take my laptop, I doubt I'll write or comment much during my time at Disney. Although, I usually like to get up early, so maybe while the kids sleep in late I can get in a little computer time!

It is the usual requirements that make a big difference at this time of year because Christmas planning does not replace them but simply adds to them.

@asylum you are so right. Christmas just adds to the every day stuff so there's twice as much to squeeze into a normal day

Yes the sun shone again all day here. We need some rain though as it is months since we had any. Slow down! Christmas will be over in two weeks whether you rush or not

I know I need to take a break every so often. Personally, motivation to get anything done is lacking.
