All That Because of One Person

I just read something about benches being removed from some Walmart and it reminded me when I went into the T-Mobile store about my cell phone and I was in there for some time. I am not able to stand for a long period of time and so I asked if they had a place I could sit down, they said NO. When I asked why they said none of their stores would have seats any longer as a customer had fallen and sued the store so all their stores had seats removed. All that because of one person. Well as you can probaby tell I won't be going there very often.

Now that doesn't make sense???..How does one fall from their seat?..I would think they fell waiting by standing up. I too can't stand very long and remember waiting in the DMV line to renew my license..no seats and the line was long..such a shame one person falling can change things for everyone..

Isn't it a shame to not have any seats for people to sit in when they go in a store.I know that best buy is in the same area and they have seats to sit on so it really doesn't make much sense to me@Rosekitty

@Rosekitty that is very true seems like someone with that company doesn't care about their customers comfort.

We have seats at the t-mobile store in my area, but they are against the wall and windows. People can't fall off them, but they don't help when I am up at the customer service desk. I noticed that too, about the seats, as I used to sit on them all the time, and now I have to stand, and like you, I can't stand for to long a time either. I hope that someday, they put the stools back up to the customre service counter.

@Marcyaz When I went in there when the new iPhone came out in September, I had to stand, and it bothered me some, but I was okay. The thing of it is, it takes way to long to get things done, and I stand there waht seems like for an hour, and then I hurt after awhile.

@rosekiss If they are busy when you go in you could wait around way too long which i am unable to do for long at all so I had to leave but luckily my son was with me so he went in and did what I needed to have done.

I wondered why the ones at my location had been taken out. Now I know. I ride around the store on one of their little rider things. Not sure what they are called. I go to Walmart because the have all my needs and so I don't have to put out my transportation any further than I do already. I will continue to go there but now I know something they may be sorry for in the future.

Interesting isn't it when something like this happens and you go wonder why they took out the seats and then find out it was because of one person @celticeagle

This is ridiculous, just because someone falls from a seat the store removed all the seats. What if someone fall on the floor?

That type of response by the company holds no logic. People have sued stores because they have had accidents with trolleys, but the stores have never removed them all.

That is the irony. Just for the sake of one or few millions suffer. I am wondering what if someone aged or with a problem now sues them for the lack of seating facilities.

That reminds me of the woman who sued McD's for the coffee bein too hot, I've heard they no longer serve hot coffee cuz of that 1 person. Boy, what some people do to cauze shuch trouble.

I can tell you it is still hot so they really didn't stop. Every so often I will stop for a coffee and always ask for a small cup of ice and then I pour some of the coffee out and add the ice cubes so it doesn't burn my tongue and throat.@rebelann

America is the most litigant nation in the world. All they needed to do is Put a board...the seat can fall and you might have to go to the hospital...if you still choose to use those seats ...Walmart is not liable.
