Dear New Users: Stop Choosing Quantity over Quality

Why is it that new users feel as if they have to inundate us with mediocre posts? I like to go to New Users and see who has joined. Lately it has been pretty slim pickings. Lots of one line or repetitive titles with one or two words changed. Not anything to temp me. There are exceptions of course. Dear New Users, read the guidelines and get interacting. Give us one post so we know you are here and then go around and read and interact, that will lead to success. Making 10 short meaningless posts will not get anyone to interact with you and without interactions the site will fail you and you will have failed the site.

This happens all too often and is one of the main reasons that I started visiting that section far less frequently.

I take a quick look to see if there are plagiarists and if anything looks interesting. But it is most garbage lately.

@BelleStarr I have found the occasional one worth interaction, but sadly they seem to be quite rare.

@Asylum I have to admit I look for familiar names and occasionally am rewarded.

I agree with you. Some just do not understand all of the one line posts they make will just annoy others-not interest them.

And they are not getting any comments so I am sure they leave and say this site is a scam or something similar when if they had used it correctly they would prosper like we do.

They seem to forget that they need to comment on our responses too. I get so irked when they keep on posting and d not comment back to my responses to their posts. I stop after awhile and they never acknowledge my responses at all.

No they think they can make a lot of money by just posting and posting and posting. They don't want to put in the time it takes.

Very well said, I hope that some of our new members read the discussion and see the value of the concept of discussion and apply that.

I would have loved to have seen one comment from a new member who is guilty but of course I see nothing here, they are not reading.

@BelleStarr That is the whole problem, I think that they are under the assumption that the more that they write the more that they will earn. You get that feeling when you are reading some of these one liner discussions, most of which consist of a question that can either be answered by reading the rules or by going thru a search engine in general. They will eventually run out of questions and either jump ship for read discussions such as this and partake in them.

If only they understood that posting a post no matter how big, isn't going to make a cent for them until they learn to comment and interact.

It seems this is the opinion of all of us here. We all have posted about this time and time again. what did one member say. You can lead a horse to water........... Well good luck on this one. I have tried to point these people in the right direction, giving them links and posts to read. They seem to say thanks and keep on posting. What can we do but just let them be until they can figure out how all of this works. Once they see that people get tired of answering all of their posts maybe then they will change.

@BelleStarr Yes we do get tired of this one. Now even in no responses we try to comment on them and they just ignore us so now a lot of people ignore them too. It is not fair to us that it is one sided and they should consider to answer back or at last see how the site really works.

It doesn't have to be perfect but it should be understandable and the writer needs to interact with other members, that is the real key.

I agree with you on this too. I find it better reading other's post and responding and commenting. I enjoy doing it. I only post a discussion if I feel like it will help me interact with more and more mylotters.

Don't you think that people who came here to earn will focus on earning only! But as I know if you have quality then you earning will sure be high. Multiple posts with low quality will give less earning than a quality post with great no of words and totally enthusiast to read and informative.

The thing is no matter how high quality the posts are if the author does not interact with other members they will not make money. Interactions make money not posts.

@BelleStarr But the ressponse should also be little lengthy and more words should be there and yeah it must be realted and not some crap!
