The After Christmas Dilemma

Today was a crazy day for me. I had a lunch date with my girl friend Irene. We got a late start and it was almost 3 p.m. by the time I was on the way back to my house. I had a lunch date scheduled for Tuesday as well with two other friends. I got a text from one of them on the way home. We are expecting snow tomorrow so she wanted to know when I would be back from Florida. March 6th I texted. I wasn't driving by the way, I was a passenger. Normally this would not be an issue, we have waited to get together before but this time we chipped in together to get Joe British pounds for his trip for which he is leaving Sunday. Oh dear, what should we do? Neither of us have any other free days this week. we called him, he was at home. I suggested that we drive the 30 miles to his house to make sure he gets his money before he leaves. Jackie has not had water for 3 days due to a broken well pump and she just finished cleaning up after her party Friday now that she can do dishes and laundry and was too tired to drive. I don't usually drive and I hate driving after dark but I didn't see another option. I need to stop for gas and then I picked up Jackie and we drove down to see Joe. It was a short visit but we enjoyed seeing each other and actually Jackie and I had about 80 minutes time in the car to catch up on everything. What a crazy day it was but I got to exchange gifts with three friends and have some quality visiting time so in the end, the dilemma was solved and a good time was had by all. How was your day?

A quiet day, we had an ice storm most of the day so I stayed home.

@BelleStarr We are officially retired, but my husband did not like to do nothing, so he created several websites and so I help him.

I understand why you hate driving after dark. My husband finds it very hard because his eyes are not that good during night time so my son always takes over.

I just get disoriented much easier, I hate the feeling of not having total control.

You do sounds like you had a very busy day. It was just another working day for me, a busy one, but time flies by when its like that, so I'm happy when that happens. Just 2 more working days and then I took 5 days off.

Thank you even though it was short we had time to squeeze in a very nice visit. How are you feeling? I know a miscarriage takes a ot out of a person.

How come you don't like driving after dark? My day was productive. Got a bunch of paperwork in the morning and saw a kid client in the afternoon.

When you get older the lights bother your eyes, it is common among my older friends. I also get disoriented much easier, in the daytime I never get lost.
