Who is Staying Up to See the New Year? / myLot

I am trying to stay up. The New Year arrives for both MyLot and I at the same time. So I am talking to friends here, and friends on FaceBook. Hubby is pre cooking some food for tomorrow. I guess I could be boring and fold some more laundry. We do not go out for the wild traffic, etc. Instead, tomorrow we will go out for breakfast or brunch, whatever time it is when we get around. You would think I would not be so tired, I took a terrific nap, but here I am with sleepy eyes. I am so glad myLot has brought all of you into my life and I want to wish us all the best as we head for a new year.

I did m y watching the program on New Year's eve in Time Square tonigh on my computer. I will ha e to go to bed at ten or my grump of a roommate would have a hissy fit. @GardenGerty I'm ao glad I too your advice and joined here at our new mylot. l really love our mylot.

When we have room mates we have to modify our plans. I had forgotten that the Times Square thing is ahead of me by an hour. Happy New Year. I hope for all the best for you.

Although I find myself up, I was not staying up for midnight, I just woke and thought that I'd hop online for a few minutes to round up the month/year. Happy New Year and thank you for leading me over to this wonderful site!

I was awake until around 1-30 AM, but this was incidental and not due to waiting for the New Year to begin.

Some people just stay up. I have at least one local friend like that. Then there are the people who do shift work and medical, they have no choice. I think the New year will begin even if we do not stay awake and watch for it.

I will be up,. but maybe not when New Year hits you, because in 14 minutes it will be 2016 in Ohio!!!!

It's already New Year morning in my country, we did not stay up to see the new year. Nobody made noises, it has been a quiet night.

@GardenGerty I do not remember a lot of noise when I have spend the New Years in the United States. In Italy they are very noisy.

We went to prayer meeting than to my in laws to ring in the new year. We aren't much for getting out into crowds of people. Have a blessed day.

I didn't make it, I haven't a clue when I fell asleep but knowing my neighbors set off fireworks every New Years and I didn't hear anything tells me I was out like a light before midnight. Happy New Year, I was snug as a bug in a rug all night and had a wonderfully relaxing day today. Good way to start the New Year, don't you think?

If I had laid down I would have been out. As it was I did hear a little bit of fireworks. I saw an eagle today when we went out for a drive.

Awesome, did you happen to get a picture of it @GardenGerty ? We used to have eagles here but developers have destroyed the desert they used to hunt in and now they're gone. It's really a bummer.

@GardenGerty It was fun, otherwise I would of sat at home by myself. The bar was giving a few drinks for free, and food. So I only spent $40 in total which was nice.

I rung it in, not going to bed until two a.m. and was up at 8:30 and am watching the Rose parade at the moment. It's a great parade as usual. I imagine I'll be tired somewhere along the line today.
