I am easing into routine

I am about to start getting ready for work. I have to be there in about an hour but it will only take me about 15 minutes to finish getting ready. The manager is letting me do the two times a week already. I thought I might have to wait but I am glad I don't. The team is falling apart but I won't go into that, not anymore. I'm now just trying to ease into a routine. Of course you know I still need to supplement with online stuff. I have gotten to a point already where I can spend two hours in the morning doing online stuff and be happy, than two hours at night with the same results. The only thing left to do is to grocery shop for some meals. As of right now, I only cook about once per week IF that. This needs to change for sure. Healthier for us all. Are you setting up for a new routine?

My routine will change a bit when the semester starts. I'm in a pretty mellow one right now.

@TheHorse Eek! I hope the semester will fly by. I remember one teacher I had in school would have us grading papers for her. She would pass out papers and have us grade them by the answer sheet she put on the projector.

Well I am going to have to try and wake up later. I woke up at 11am today with only 4 hours sleep because I had trouble sleeping. I doubt I will be able to do split sleep and the paper deliver starts at 2:30am. Ah well. Good luck with your routine.

THe first day of a new job can be a bit exciting and stressful. I can understand not being able to sleep. I am sure you'll rest after the route though. Good luck!

@WorkAtHomeGal You would want to go to sleep NOW to get any kind of sleep... I guess you'll be roughing it since you aren't tired enough to take a nap.

I'm struggling with my routine.. but that's the way it goes. There's nothing I can do about it. I can't change my hours at work, and I can't change the kids activities.. so I'm just stuck being busy. I don't always mind it, and I look forward to my nights when there's not as much going on.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Not really... I mean the activities end but they're replaced by something else. Band is pretty much all year. Right now the twins are in Winterguard and Drumline (band activities), when that's over they'll have parade band rehearsals for the Memorial Day parades... then Marching Band practices will start about a month after that.. they go all summer, competition season is during the fall and ends at the end of October and then Winterguard and Drumline start up again a week after that and go until April. Last year I didn't let the younger boys sign up for baseball because I just needed a season off.. but they were so upset and insisted that I let them do baseball this year. We're barely keeping up with basketball at the moment..

Atleast there are off seasons for some of the activities?

Excellent that you have found a routine. It's hard to not have one, I have found at least. I like to have a regular schedule in doing something - otherwise I feel very disorganized....My hours recently changed at work so I am working on changing my routine as well and finding out how long I need to get ready, etc. I have not really been able to schedule in online money making into my routine yet, it just seems to be something that I do when I have an excess of free time. Lol. Good for you and good luck to you!

Thank you and thank you. It's not easy for sure, but it's worth it. Now to schedule in a bit more time for fun and recreation! lol Good luck to you.

I have been trying to get into my usual routine. It's hard because my sleep pattern was messed up while I was in NJ.

Hopefully you can get back to a normal sleeping pattern soon. I try to go to bed an hour earlier or later depending on what needs to be fixed with the sleep pattern. It usually helps me, that and a quick nap.

Not always the easiest thing to do, sticking to a routine.

@ScribbledAdNauseum No, it seems like something always comes up to throw it off a bit

Having a routine is good, as it'll help you to weave into the time easier. I have set up a new routine when the year started, for myself and my children. Though we haven't fully follow the routine yet, we are slowly moving into it. I always prefer to cook, as it's healthier and much cheaper. Can you do grocery shop after your work? My husband does the grocery shopping once or twice a week after his work. I think this is easier for us, so we do not need to travel out again to buy groceries. Hope you will enjoy your new routine.

I hope you can get used to it soon. I do not like to work early mornings. I'd rather be getting off work in the early morning hours!

Well it's better to get into routine than to lead an unorganized life.

Unorganized isn't always a bad thing but when it comes to making ends meet? yes.

For the most part I do the couple of morning hours and a couple evening hours online now, the rest is always unknown so I just have to deal as it comes. Have a good evening.

Definitely. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and work around your crazy routine.
