Do you remember your first time...

...do you and why? First times are special aren't they. The first time..awh, something we dream about... times we remember forever. Do you remember the first time you: kissed a boy? cried because of that boy? gave up on boys? decided to like another boy? fell in love? knew he loved you? said 'Yes, I'll marry you!" Do you remember? pixabay.com/en/heart-love-red-valentine-romantic-157895/

I do remember those things, but many are not good memories. Of course, in matters of the heart there are always tragedies as well as triumphs.

I had an elderly friend who found out that her first boyfriend had moved nearby. She decided to contact him, which she did via a romantic poem! Unfortunately he was married, she was widowed. There was a late flowering until his wife objected.@AbbyGreenhill

@AbbyGreenhill It sounds so very romantic. Do you still have communication with the guy? I can't imagine what if you see him on the road.

Awh, that's nice. I had a lousy 10 years and now I'm having an excellent 18 years! But my first kiss was with my first love and I can remember it as it it was yesterday and it was 55 years ago.

Of course I remember, I remember everything you listed. I have to say that most of my first were not the best and did not last. My best 'Yes, I'll marry you!" to the only man I really loved and I still love.

@AbbyGreenhill It has been the same for me, I had two or three boyfriends before my husband, but it was not real love.

I can remember the first boy I noticed. We were around 11/12 and went to the same school and lived just a few minutes walk away. He was a tall lad with dimples and I think he was probably spoiled as he was the only child. He was quite naughty in an amusing way and my brother and I were invited to all his parties and he to ours. He had a good voice and was 'discovered' when he was 18 - he became a pop singer and was quite famous for a little while.

After reading your post, I was wondering about when I even thought about all the first times. Now I can clearly see myself at various stages at various ages and it gives me mixed feelings of joy, stupidity and innocence.

We all had our 'stupid' moments, I know I did. But everything that we experienced, good or bad, makes us who we are today.
