Cold dinner

Cold dinner This evening I forgot all about going to the painting group until the last minute so missing on doing my dinner. Not to worry I thought I could always do it when I get back. It was only a frozen ready meal After getting home from the painting group I decided I would put the ready meal in the oven. 35 minutes later the bell went off and I oven the oven and it wasn’t even turned on. My dinner was as cold as it went into the oven. 35 minutes later it was finally done YAY. Have you even don’t that before, putting something in the oven and not turning it on?

Not the oven that I can readily remember, but I did the crock pot. I got it all ready and came on the computer to continue blogging and went back in the kitchen hours later to find it wasn't even ready to stir.

This is pretty easy to do. Did that second lot of 35 minutes take forever? You should have been pretty hungry by then.

@kevin1877uk Being on a computer helps make you forget anything else.

I've turned on the temperature gauge but forgot to turn on the "bake" function of the oven and stood there waiting for the light to come on telling me the oven's preheated. Whoops.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah it's a big time saver there, putting things in the microwave. I don't really use the microwave that much.

@kevin1877uk I know that microwaving food isn't good for us, but I tend to microwave more than using the oven for freezer meals. It takes around 45 minutes for them to get done in the oven, whereas it only takes five in the microwave.

@Jessicalynnt Not really sure, it didn't matter too much really, just so funny at the time when I open the oven and no heat from the oven and my foods was still frozen.

I've done that with the rice cooker! I remember making a stew and I just have to have my rice with my stew. Well, it was late already - but the stew was finally done. I thought the rice was done at least a half hour before - but - I guess I never pushed the button for it to cook!! What a disappointment - but I think we settled for bread.

@kevin1877uk Or leaving the oven on all day after you are finished cooking. I could go on and on. I don't know how I haven't burnt my house down yet.

I would love to learn, but I wasn't good, never have been, but I guess I'll see what happens. No good forgetting all together to turn on the oven and not put you food to be cooked.

@Mike197602 Cool, I've not tried pottery since I was a school, I was never any good though but I guess you my change over time. You have me thinking now lol, maybe there might be a night class doing pottery. Well done on your sales.

@kevin1877uk I've no talent with drawing or painting. I doubt I'd ever be any good. The only thing artistic I've ever been good at is pottery and I was quite good at that...even sold a few things years ago. Haven't done it for a few years but wouldn't mind getting back into it at some time in the future.
