!. Just because I'm a senior citzen does not mean you can just call me dearie or honey,Sometimes my doctor called me dearie and I said"That not my name" Thats like being young looking at thirty and being called "hey Kid?" 2 When I am in line for any length to have s meone pull in ahead of me really irks me. 3.To go to a sale announced on x day only to find it over but we have something just lke that and it is of course half as much again for it. 4.to be told to click on something on the net then not have any response at all 5.Having to ask someone to speak a bit louder and having them get angry at me as though I purposely messed up my hearing just to make them repeat something. 6.Asking for directions to a certain place and having them give me wrong directions as though they were just having fun at your expense 7.Having people assume Im single because I wear no bedding ring. Its too small and too Mrs. Hatley should gve them the clue don't you think? 8.people who talk loudly on their cellphone walking straight at me amd gesturing like they were trying to get my attention. 9.Talking to a friend and having someone constantly interupt. this has to be bad manners surely 10. Having people always assume I am senile because I am elderly and treating me like Im five years old. ugh l. 5.

I have to agree. These things irritate me too. People now days are so rude and self serving. I think I have called you 'dearie' too. But, it was affectionate.

That's what it is. Very upsetting that the world has put seniors in grooves their own when here we have someone who could put even a teenager to shame with the energy that oozes out of her

I am guilty of having called you as dearie or dear many times, here at Mylot. But then, I have always loved you the same way as I loved my granny. So I hope I will be excused

Most of these are down to lack of respect. If poeple don't respect us seniors it's bad manners on their part.

I agree with you on all of those. However we always have to put up with the good things and the bad things all through our lives.

I used to go into this doctors office with my son by my side and they would talk to him like I was not even there until I Said I Understand everything you have said now You can talk to me or I am going to find a different doctors office. I was not nice about it at all, that is so rude.

We aren't allowed to speak in such childish and condescending terms to 4-year-olds, so WHY do we think it's acceptable to treat one's elders with such blatant disrespect? I enjoyed your list, and I concur.

I used to hate Ma'am, and then I moved to the south and had to get over it, because that is what all men call women for the most part down here. be like me telling a fish to stop swimming.

My father had a stroke four years ago (we've already determined that he is the same age as you are), and his speech can be hard to understand. I am forever telling people (who are afraid to try to have a conversation with him) if you are careful in listening, and he is careful in speaking, with a bit of patience you'll both do fine.

No 6 happens to most of us. Why can't they simply say they don't know the directions if they really don't know?
