I wrote this in response to the CSD's letter asking me to take a sign off my lawn: I wanted to thank you for the nice letter alerting me to the dangerous problem affecting property values that was posed by the presence of a sign posted on my property. As I walked that sign in from my yard to the garage, I could feel my property values go up at least 10 cents. It was the most amazing and empowering feeling. The fact that the sign in question had actually generated business for a local employer was, of course, of no consequence when compared to the huge increase in property values that was prompted by its removal. - Dawn Wolfson PS In future, if you send your notifications in envelopes that don't look like junk mail, they are much less likely to be tossed out in error, which did not happen, but which could have, which would have no doubt generated a "you were previously notified" type letter, which, if not tossed, would have generated a response of "no I wasn't". Perhaps a phone message would have been more practical - I am listed. :-) And then I didn't send it...

Tee hee, tee hee! Remember the end of Breakfast Club when the Anthony Michael Hall character writes the letter on everyone's behalf and he kisses his most perfect letter to the principal? It's just like that!

@much2say, great movie. I have seen it so many times, I believe I own it on DVD. My teenage daughter loves the movie too.

I have done this several times in the past. You have to sometimes. This ability and Karma on others keep me going. Just cause we choose to live in society doesn't mean we have to put up with all of it.

I somehow doubt that people who enforce such things would see the humor though. It would probably be wasted on them.

Yes, although part of it was taken from a certain musical theater piece...
