Yes,with the weather finally getting warm and time to get your hands dirty. We have to wake up the garden. Here someone told me to work on the sunniest areas first and gradually make your way through your garden bed. It has been awhile.I told Mike we need to sort of doing this from scratch and rotor-till the garden.Fertilizer maybe some bone meal.Last year the garden did not do too well. Or we can rake and be very careful in going over that you see green. We do not want to disturb them too soon. But there are a lot of dead plant that need to get rid off.Now is the time to do it.Get as much weeding done. I will see if I have any energy for this.Mike will do most of this. Yes,it is time to wake up the garden. Photo is public domaine

Isn't it a bit too early yet over there in CT, Alfredo? Around here, maybe the farmers are getting started, but it's been known to get a deep freeze or even snow at least one time in April if not later yet. I'm not even going to begin with my garden just yet, unless I do some raking. Course, all I have is flowers in my garden around my house, porch, and ramp. No veges growing there. I do have flowers poking up from the ground, but not flowering yet, other than one lonely crocus that blew in from somewhere or another.

Thankfully here its still to cold to play in the garden. My husband does most of the work so I have nothing to complain about and our garden is very small...we are too shaded for a big garden.

@amadeo My daughter's house looks like a Green House by now, she starts all her plants usually from seeds saved from last years crop. We wait for Memorial Day too before planting.

I am waiting for it to get a little warmer before I head outside to tidy up the garden beds. They look horrible! First, I'll do the flower beds. Second, on to the vegetable garden. I'll have to send the hubby to the local farm for more soil. My intention is to double the garden bed so I can plant more vegetables. Last year it was crowded. The soil from the farm was so rich that the plants did very well, but snuffed out one another.

I start my plants indoors so the cold really isn't an issue but the time. When do I have the time. lol

When I have a large job to tackle I might set myself a goal of spending 30 minutes a day. If it's weeding this is the maximum my back can cope with. But if I just do the 30 mins, even less, each day it seems no time at all before the end is in sight.
