Reflections Off the Dash

United States
March 26, 2016 8:00am CST
As I was driving to pick up my friend to go shopping yesterday I saw a truck heading my way. The dash was covered with paper and other unidentifiable objects. This irks the heck out of me. I can't stand anything on the dash of my car. The reflection shows in the windshield and actually blocks your view. Even my sunglasses sometimes bug the heck out of me. I often have to remove them. Pet peeve, maybe.

You would hate my dash,I have two areas indented and made to hold things like tissues. I think I might have kid snacks sitting up there and a bottle of Tylenol. I do not have a glove box or anyplace else to put stuff so it goes it there, Doesn't bother me at all and does not clock my view.

@ElusiveButterfly We do that with the milk, there is no cargo hold net and everything ends up all over the van. Drives me nuts. I started putting a bin in the throw the bags in

@mom210 I need something for the back too. Hate it when the bags empty and cans roll back and forth.

I also can't drive also with a lot of stuff on the dashboard. It distracts me.

@ElusiveButterfly especially when there are white papers on it. I can't see clearly.

lol, we all have different ones. I dont mind stuff there, but I dont leave it there myself because it tends to fly off at bad times

When they "stuff" flies off and smacks you in the face, it startles you a bit. Not great when you are at the wheel.

since it wasn't in your car you should not let it disturb you as not everyone feels the way you do.

No, but it makes me want to clear my dash off. I only keep my sunglasses, a few coins, and my McDonald's coffee club card on the dash. Even with so little it annoys me.

The only thing on the dashboard in the car is a cell phone holder. Every so often something will go up, but once we started driving it would come off. A messy dashboard can be a huge distraction.

I keep most of my things in the cup holder, including the cell phone.

I think that the dash should be clear of everything. Safer that way.

I have to get clips to put on the visor to hold my sunglasses. I have been meaning to replace the ones that broke.

Is it a pet peeve or just common sense? That would bother me too!

I never put anything on the dash. I cannot stand any type of clutter. Clutter makes me nervous.

The reflection off the windshield hinders my vision.
