Did you set an arbitrary goal for MyLot this month?

With MyLot paying at $1.00 this month, the motivation to reach $10.00 went away for many of us. I never used to set goals on MyLot, beyond reaching $10.00 (well, that's not entirely true, but my goals kind of ebbed and flowed--I'm thinking of grass in the wind), but this month I did. The cool thing is: I'm exactly 33 cents away from reaching my goal as of 9 AM on March 31. It's all in my head, and it makes no difference whatsoever, but it makes today kind of fun. I better get to commenting before heading out. Did you set an arbitrary goal for yourself this month?

I am happy with whatever I make. I really set no goals.

@TheHorse I'm between a rock and a hard place at some odd $1.71 cents. Too far to reach $2 but over the $1.

I did, but didn't meet it. I write when I can, I have many activities I like to do. My main motivation for being here is social.

I enjoy the socializing too. I was telling a real live Swiss person yesterday how I chat with someone in Switzerland on this site.

I am $1 away from where I wanted to be today but its okay. I'm grateful for anything I make here as it pays one of my bills. =)

That's a good thing. I'll come over and hammer on some of your posts. We will will you to make $1 today, like Steph Curry hoisting up a 40 foot 3-pointer.

I almost never bother with earnings goals here. Setting a goal makes it seem like work, which takes away the joy of participating for me because I get to thinking that I have to make a certain amount per day and if I don't I really need to "work" harder to make up for it the next day. I have a lot more fun here when I just go with the flow and post what I feel like posting. I'll save the goals for the more tedious sites I belong to instead. Hope you're able to hit that mark before 11:59 PM tonight!

For me it's the opposite. It makes it more like a game--like when I play nickel video poker at Circus Circus in Reno on my way to Montana. I don't really care if I win or lose $5 (as long as I get my three or so free drinks), but it's fun. Yeah, Baby! I left the machine up by $3.75. I'm a bit time gambler!

@JolietJake Once I realized I could make $10 per month, I stopped setting goals. Sort of. But this month I did.

Since I just started I have not gotten used to setting goals. It would be nice to do at least 50 cents a day. Which I already have been doing. Congrats when you hit your goal!

Fifty cents a day is a solid average. Thanks! Now I should up the ante and predict (for myself) what time of day I'll get those 33 cents earned. But if I get too cocky, today might turn into one of those (rare) frozen bank disaster days.

I expect that this may make a difference to April. I seem to find members are relaxed at the start of the month and begin to try harder towards the end. This coming month they may not see any urgency at the end. Of course only time will tell for certain and I am looking forward to see what the admin make of the outcome.

Yes, it will be interesting to see what they decide after April. To me, it won't matter, unless they go with $50, like Bubblews. Heh. I don't think that's going to happen.

I do try to get the payout every month, and as of now, I am way over the orignial of $10. I have never found it hard to reach, but there are some that do find it hard, as they aren't here all that much. Starting tomorrow, I am going to try my best to get more than I have received this month. I know I can do it, as it takes the whoe communtity of us to help each other attain our goals. Hurray for mylot.

I still kept my head at $10 like the usually! I made it, a little over by $1 something, yay! That .33 cents shy of your 10 will be made within this day I'm sure or! But I agree with the minimum of $1 i was a tad unmotivated lol!

I don't work as hard here, because I earn much more on other sites where I write (my retirement blog; The Daily Voice News; etc.). I just write here, when I have time, for fun and to see what everyone is up to. I only earn about $3 to $4 a month here.

@TheHorse - I love to write, so it is fun for me. I have worked hard to build up my retirement blog and, consequently, I earn about $60+ a month writing just one post a week on it. The Daily Voice News involves writing news stories on the topics YOU choose. For example, if you want to write about politics, you can choose which candidates and stories you cover. If you want to write about entertainment, you can choose to cover your favorite TV show ... not just plot recaps, but stories about the actors, etc. I write the stock market report, about the TV show "The Bachelor," the re-boot of "The X-files" and any California stories that interest me ... whenever I want. The earnings are still small there, but it builds up every month. The community of about 20 writers are pleasant and helpful ... and they are from around the world. They are looking for qualified writers so, if you are interested, you should contact them. They don't ever want to have more than about 50 writers. At the bottom of the front page of thedailyvoicenews. com, there is a place to apply.

Yes I did it in the past when I cashed out $50 at once but then pay rates were better. These days I have set it to $10 which I think is not going to be easy.

I don't have a goal in dollars. I often don't reach the $10 because my time is limited here. My goal is to write interesting posts and get back to everyone who took the time to read my discussions and comment on them. If I get that done, I am a happy camper. Then i go and find other to read and comment on....

As I was traveling I thought no payout this month but, lo and behold, the threshold is set at $1 and so is easily crossed. I had set a target earlier of payout every two months ie to reach $10. I feel $3 per month is a challenging target for many - siva
