I started collecting his books about a year ago and only have about 20 to go.. Went to bookmans and Goodwill yesterday and found 1 that I need. But I keep looking every now and then. I have all the Robert B Parker books and have read all of them. I still have a lot of the Patterson books to read. They will keep me busy for awhile..

See the problem with buying books at thrift stores and such places is that you take the money away from the author. This is especially true with indie authors who don't get advances on their books. While this may not apply to James Patterson, he still loses when people buy used books.

I buy James Patterson books wherever I can find them, sometimes at the thrift store other times at a regual store. Lately some of his books are not very good since he has someone else writing with him.

@hostessman He gives them an outline. They write the book. He has final approval. My hubby is a Patterson reader.

He'd be a good author if he actually wrote the books himself Can't stand his books...more empty pages than actual writing with his 2 page chapters

There is a co-author on many of Patterson's books and that name is in tiny print. Patterson is a corporation. I think we know whose doing the bulk of the writing.

Whois Robert B Parker? Is that a Patterson pseudonym? I also have enjoyed Patterson a lot depending on the book. Feels like he certainly has quite a lot of books! I liked his womens murder mystery club and a few of the one-off books that are not part of a sequel. whats your favorite Patterson book?

The late Robert B. Parker was author of the Spenser for Hire series.
