Can I donate my blood 4 times in 1 year?

Since 2013, I started to donate my blood again. It is because my back pain is recovered and I do not need to take any medicine again. I went to donate my blood on last Sunday. My children were happy to see that I donated my blood. I hope they can donate their blood when they are grown. My wife can't donate her blood. She has not enough iron in her blood. Hence, she was rejected. She told me that she hope to have chance to donate her blood. I think this is good. However, some of my friends do not donate their blood. They said it is not good to health. I don't agree with them. I hope I can donate blood 4 times in 1 year. What do you think?

Four times per year should not present any problems.

@Asylum Sorry about that. I also notice that I will have health issues after years. Hence, I try to donate blood as much as I can.

So long as there's a bit of a gap between you should be fine. They recommend 3 months minimum over here, so 4 times should be OK according to the guidelines here :)

It is very kind of you. If you have a normal weight and you don't feel uncomfortable after donating your blood. I think it is OK for you to donate blood four times in a year. If you are not sure about it, you can consult the doctor or nurse and they will be happy to explain to you.

Beside full blood, you can donate other things. I think you can ask if you can donate more often. I think if you are healthy, they will allow you to keep donating.

Good idea. I think I will ask them for more information next time. Maybe I will see them after three month.

I think that is wonderful. If you are healthy and can donate blood, you are doing a wonderful thing. I cannot because anti-seizure medication I have to take, but I used to donate blood. I wish you the best.

Four times per year should be fine. I don't see why your friend thinks it is bad for health because it isn't. I've donated blood loads of times and it has't harmed me.

Some people like to find reasons to avoid doing something. I also heard that a person who was found hypertension after blood donation. This guy told others that blood donation will cause hypertension. And always tell him that I have blood donation many times and my blood pressure is always at good level.

Donating blood burns 650 calories for every pint given.

Wow! Is the calories burn or gone after donating blood?
