Frustrations are the name of the day

No job news. No military recruiters news. Oh, and apparently both vehicles need their registration this month, but I am afraid the truck will need new tires, and the car needs repaired, the check engine light came on and the transmission has started acting funny over the last week. Plus we will have to come up with a deductable if we have house repair done, UNLESS whatever company we go with actually is able to work that into their bid. One can only hope. We have no money for any of this. None. Zip. Nada. We are covering bills with his unemployment, which will run out in a few months. I managed to get a few things paid off, and was working on shaving down the credit cards. We need the bad luck to stop. We need good luck. I am so close to just losing it. If I disappear, you can find me hiding under the bed due to quitting be an adult.

I'm afraid anything I say may just sound like a platitude, but I like the one that says: "When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." I can't count how many knots are in my proverbial 'rope', but I'm still hanging on, and occasionally am able to shimmy up the rope away from the end. Hope things start looking up for you.

Haven't actually heard that one, I like it. And I vent on here because I can't vent to hubby much, he already feels terrible, is depressed, feels responsible, and if I vent to him, it makes him feel worse. So ya'll get the worse of my downs because here I feel safe to let it all out.

It looks like you are going through hard times. I wish you to see soon the sun appearing on your cloudy sky. Hiding under the bed will not help.

can I hide in my blanket fort instead then? I bet that would help.

Don't toss in the towel just yet. Hiding is one way to make the world go away. But, eventually you will need to come out and face the world. I have had times when I felt utterly hopeless for one reason or 10 others. I was unemployed for 12 months when I lost a job that I knew would end eventually. I felt it coming. I worked one day at Dunkin Donuts. Yup, one day. Quit the next day. Not my cup of tea, or coffee for that matter. LOL. It was one month later that I landed the job I am still employed at. That was 10 years ago. Something will come along. He may need to open his search to places a little further away and maybe commute or stay nearer the job and come home weekends. Wishing you and your husband many blessings. Big hugs to you.

@JessicaLynnt hey, don't let all this get you down. Keep you chin up. We are in deep financial problems and due to this once our car was sold for scrap we never got a new one. That is perfectly alright I discovered my two legs work just fine and if we really need transport hubby's daughter helps. We get a discount ordering groceries to be delivered to our home. Today we are sitting on practically no food, it arrives tomorrow and no extra bucks to run to the store but hey, I'm keeping busy working online, counting my blessings and as long as my hubby, I and our cat Sid have our health I know we will see it through. Sending you the best of positive vibes and hoping that the rainbows come out for you.

I am going to suck it up and take the truck tomorrow, and see what they say. I think I can scrape enough together for 2 tires, so hopefully it only needs that, OR less.

To bad your husband has heard nothing yet is he still applying for jobs? Has he gone to a temp agency if not he might try that and come up with something to fill in the time. A lot of temp jobs turn into full time employment if you are a good worker. Cheer up something will have to be good news for you soon.

He has signed up for a few, but would currently need something that made over a certain amount or lose money when he lost unemployment, and we can already not make ends meet, now once that gets closer to running out, any income is better than none

I hope that your luck will change soon. Not easy being an adult. If we had known that we would not have been so eager to reach that age.

Oh shame, you poor thing, I am not sure if you can quit being an adult - not just yet! I would love to commend you on some of the things you have been able to achieve. That in itself is not easy to do on a Non-existent budget.

college costs way too much for what you get. If I had it to do over, I would get an associates degree then go into a certificate program, and prob be making TONS more now
