This is a post about me,
Jabo asked me to do one to introduce myself.I'm following her advice.
I am 52 years old, married for the past 27 years.
We have two sons, both grown up , one is working and the other studying.So my nest is empty.
To top it all two years ago my husband was transferred to another place.I stayed on because of my job. We meet on weekends and whenever else we can manage.In fact a good part of my life is spent in traveling.
I teach mathematics in a college.I love my job ,the teaching part as well as being among my students.
I used to have a big garden but have shifted from where we stayed to an apartment nearer my college. I miss my garden.
I am glad I stumbled on to myLot. People are friendly and responsive here.It is nice getting to know you all.

My mother used to use beads in her embroidery .She would make these lovely embroidered yokes for my kurtas(short dresses) where she would embroider a flower and the bead was the centre
Now she doesn't do much embroidery. but she uses up odds and ends and makes it into something new :)

howdy'n welcome! 'tis great to meet'cha :) i hope that'cha enjoy yer time here. that's gotta be diff'cult, with those miles that separate'cha'n yer hubs. i'm sure ya spend that time together makin' more precious memories. 's fer those young'uns? kinda hard when the fly the nest. we wish 'em well, but oh the quiet can sometimes be deafenin'.

@responsiveme yer welcome :) yes ma'am, had 3 fly the nest here. now i've 2 outta state i ne'er get to see (nor the grands), one who lives nearly 1,000 miles 'way. the adjustment from "full throttle" to barren walls'n rooms, knowin' they aint gonna come stormin' through the door't any moment...'t times 'tis a tad hauntin'. big hugs to ya!!

Wow, that really must be difficult living away from your husband for the past two years. It shows that you have a strong relationship to be able to do that.
Do your sons live near you, so at least you still have family around you for comfort, companionship and support?

There isn't much to tell about me. I am a stay-at-home mom with a pretty boring life. I am also a fairly private person, but I love to joke and have fun. I am pretty comfortable talking with most people, but I do have a difficult time being overly serious sometimes, especially on here. I think that maybe I have to be more serious offline, so I come here to have fun and usually not get into anything too heavy or serious ... except when the mood or topic is interesting or is something I am passionate about.

First the good news..its vacation time :) so we are together.
No,actually the boys too live away,the younger one is in the same city as his father.He lives in his residential campus but keeps coming over.
No family members around where I stay.Both of us come from the same place , so there are three places I keep shuttling in between .
