A stiflingly humid day and with my sister maintaining a stony silence towards me while ‘caring’ for my mother, I went out to shop and explore the city. I returned home to find the heat was leaving my mum very uncomfortable, and my sister spent much of the afternoon getting essential chemist’s supplies for my mum, and later doing paperwork, mostly relating to her own nursing work, so I got to spend some more time with my mum without my sister’s brooding presence.
We had some thunderstorms late on – the news reported that two people had been struck by lightning though both survived.
Online I got little written though I found that the Persona Paper pages that went offline last week are now accessible again, though they no longer pay for new material.
I had hoped to go to a free history talk early on Thursday night though pre-booking was essential. I found the event is fully subscribed and I’m on a waiting list in case any attendees drop out which seems unlikely.

Happy to hear you had some time spent alone with your mother.
And, 2 people struck by lightning is outstanding. But that both of them survived is just shocking! (pun intended)

Glad you were able to spend some time with your mum. The website dying sounds familiar to me. I try to back everything up on my computer now. Saving my Bubblews stuff was a pain in the posterior. I lost some but most of the really good stuff I was able to retrieve before it was too late. Maybe someone will get sick and you'll still have a chance at the history talk.

@Inlemay quite glad the pages are still there - writers can salvage material for future use - always a chance they could one day bounce back as Mylot did too

@arthurchappell I agree - that is what I was hoping to do at Bubblews but never got to most of my writings, I did a few travel blogs at PP, but I stopped about a year ago.
