A day of mixed feelings and some distress. I went to the local barbers for a shave as I have to attend a psychological evaluation tomorrow to see if it will help me with my job searching activity. That went well. Later, after being online for a while I realized it was unusually quiet in the house as my sister talks to my very ill Mum though not to me. On looking round I found they were both out, which was worrying especially as there were no notes or clues to where they had gone. I started worrying that my mum might have had further heart deterioration and my sister had rushed her to hospital. I tried phoning my mum’s mobile which wasn’t working so I phoned my sister on hers. As soon as she realized it was me she was talking to she handed the phone to my mum who was at the hospital but only for an appointed check up on her condition, and she would be home soon. I was relieved though also unhappy about the lack of full communication. My sister remained totally silent on the matter. Arthur Chappell

Your sister looks a lot like my brother. When something happens he never informs me, that is pretty rude. I am glad that your Mom is fine and it was only an appointment to check on her condition.

@LadyDuck my sister willfully snubs me as much as she can, and has her husband, three sons and their partners follow suit

The silent treatment through these situation is so awkward. Glad there wasn't a serious situation for your mum at that point.

@koopharper totally agree - there has to be a truce at least to deal with important matters

@arthurchappell At least you're big enough to understand that.

Would your sister actually rush your mother to the hospital in an emergency and not inform you? Surely that would be totally unacceptable behaviour?

@Asylum I wouldn't put it past her though I expect my mum will insist she tells me of something like that at least

They should left you a note. You need to tell them to that from now on.
