I went looking at some of the other posts on your blog the last time you posted one... I was surprised that you had been seeing fewer and fewer people posting a reply to your blogs. I am wondering what they could possibly think is as worthy to take up their time as your blog?! (I confess to hoping you find a few more myLotters who enjoy what you talk about as well as your beautiful photos!) Uhm... I think I should also warn you that my daughter has said she will see if she can post your link on a couple of the sites she uses, too. (I know she said Reddit, but I can't remember what the other site is that she uses most. If she can, she will also try to help you a bit, too.) I am wondering about asking Pretty to make your avatar a split picture of that little lady hummer and your equine avatar... Pretty would have to be in the right kind of mood, but I could ask. LOL! I could always start telling people the hummer is your alter-ego! LMAO!

Yeah, @dpk262006, I am sure Crazy has a basket full of people who "follow" her, but if they are like the people who "follow" me, she actually sees one or two of them on her discussions and has no clue who the rest of them are! We can't all follow everyone. There is just not enough time in a day to keep up with that many people on any site! I keep thinking I am going to go through my followers and clean out the ones I have never met before but haven't had time to do that yet. As far as you know, sir, is there any reason at all I shouldn't drop off the ones I don't know/have never interacted with before? Uhm... I have seen people say they get notified when someone they follow posts a new discussion... Do you know where they are seeing those notifications at? I've never been notified when someone posts a new discussion. (I keep thinking the people who say that are seeing something else and are mistaken about what it signifies or else they may have gotten into my meds and are just confused!) Thank you for answering any of these questions you know an answer for. I appreciate that!

@DaddyEvil I don't get notified if someone I'm following posts a new discussion but the new titles come up under 'Follows' then 'Their Discussions' but I can't believe you wouldn't have known that.

Yes, there are always interesting photos on her blog! I've never seen a hummingbird giving someone a raspberry before, though! I actually fessed up to doing something on her blog, but I didn't tell her what I did. I want a bit more distance between she and I before she figures out what I meant, too!

@DaddyEvil ... DE I have issues in understanding long sentences. Crazy's English is different and much tougher for me..I need to learn, yes, and she is a nice lady...she has stood by me at one point of time...but her English is different. I wish I knew English better..it would be so much fun..:(

@DaddyEvil Sounds like you have had a run in with a person who is not very keen on interaction.. Some people post only to get some pennies out of it.. But its a bonus to make some friends here.. I have a few friends here and I enjoy being around them.

@sofssu I've never considered things like that. I like to know as much about the person I am talking with as I can/am allowed. I don't see much point in trying to talk to someone if I can't have a good conversation with them... (The way some people here interact is not my idea of a conversation. It MIGHT be considered interaction, but (sigh!).... ) Yes, I know I don't use this site the way it was intended, but I am not a "hit and run" type person. One person here had a good presentation about courts. I know a bit about courts and law, so I was intrigued. That person mentioned an aspect of the law and said they weren't sure what the law really was... I knew the answer, so told them.... I received a very disappointing comment in return.... I was told to please keep my responses/comments short as the author was not interested in reading three paragraphs when a simple sentence would do. (Uhm... have you ever tried to understand a law and explain it in a simple sentence? You can't!) I had commented several times on that discussion. None of the comments were less than three paragraphs. I deleted those comments. I haven't responded to that author's "discussions" again. That is not a discussion. That author wanted just enough from me/others to make money with and no more. I am not capable of interacting like that. So, I believe I do put discussions first. I am fundamentally incapable of not putting the discussion first. I suppose the difference is that with me the discussion is first, second, third and in about tenth place is that 1/10 of a cent we get for each comment/response/interaction we receive from someone else.

I know what you mean, Jess. I have accounts with different blogging platforms, with one, two or sometimes several posts on them, but none of them feel right. I wasn't comfortable with something about each one of them. (Yeah, I felt right at home on Bubbs, but we all know what happened there.) I guess I've finally stopped looking for someplace to call my online home, now. Something always makes me leave or at least not be comfortable with every one of them I've tried. (shrug!) Maybe the problem is always me and not the sites. I don't like to think that, but what can I do?

Hi Marsha! Yep! You are not alone in recognizing who owns that avatar! LOL! I might check out a blog, but I've never been interested enough in one to actually follow it before, and then keep up with it. There is one other blog I look in on once in a while. The author used to write on WebAnswers. She married a guy who was divorced with several kids and an ex who couldn't be relied on for anything except complaining that she never got to see her kids when she was the one who kept being a no-show whenever she was scheduled to see them... I kept encouraging both sides, hoping they could figure something out for the kids, if not for themselves. It turned out the absentee mom was simply interested in garnering sympathy while the step-mom busted her back for those same kids... It was crazy! (I still go read her blog posts once in a while and give suggestions/encouragement to the step-mom.) You are just like me... I don't have enough time for everything I want to do, let alone all the things I feel like I should do! I guess the time will come when we don't/can't find enough to keep us occupied... Not really looking forward to that, either! I am going to open your profile and look/see what you've been doing lately, Marsha! Thank you, @ChesneyM, for suggesting this post to some of your friends! @MarshaMusselman Oh, well! I can tell you now that I will still jump to conclusions, though, Marsha! I would have eight more discussions if I hadn't deleted those when I "left" myLot, which still aren't that many, considering I have been a member here for nine, going on ten months, right? (So, two smidgens? ) You think Crazy is really a horse? Just you wait until I tell her you said that, Marsha! Yeah, she can't claim anyone else writes like that, that's for sure!

@DaddyEvil Actually, this post wasn't found via a suggestion, but rather, via looking at her activity. And, I forgot to say earlier that you'd have more than a smidgen of discussions on your profile if you' hadn't deleted the smattering you had before. Also, it wasn't so much Lady's avatar I recognized, as for a minute there I thought it may have been the horse you were referring to, but once I looked at her 'voice' in the way she speaks, I knew who it was for sure.

@DaddyEvil It's set up for my books and I haven't had any book news in a long time. Other than being here, I have no idea what to write of any kind of interest to the general public.

??? Uhhh... yes, Reine, that is Crazy's blog link I listed. Have you ever read any of her blog posts? She writes funny, but you get used to it (I hope, someday, that I will be used to it, at least.) and then just enjoy the story she's telling! I love the oasis she built behind her house! You can tell she has worked on it for years! I would love to be able to go pay her a short visit, talk with her and enjoy sitting at the oasis and just see what happens next... LOL! (I'm thinking I could sit there for a LONG time, as long as the skunks don't pay me a visit!)

@RubyHawk Thank you! That is what I keep telling her, Ruby, but she has some silly notion that she just pushes a button and mother nature develops those beautiful pictures without any help from her! SMH at some of the crazy (Yeah, I'm liking the pun here!) notions people can have in their heads!

I am happy I could surprise you in a good way, Ruby! (Sure beats anything else I could say or do, huh? ) I just love talking with Crazy! I love the stories she tells and adore the pictures, too! I told her (quite some time ago) that I was collecting the pictures she has on her blog in a folder on my pc. I also assured her I wouldn't do anything with them except admire them. I am thinking about using some to make a coffee table book for my house, though. (She's fine with that!)

Me, too! LOL! I wouldn't write a discussion about her if I didn't! Once in a while I still have trouble figuring out what she is talking about, but that is just me and my meds, probably!

I don't always notice things like that, either! I do try, though! I am also wondering how I always seem to have a few people down here at the bottom of every post. That suggests I missed the notifications for their response, but I don't delete notifications until after I comment back to the person, so this makes no sense to me!

@ridingbet Hmmm.... yeah, I guess you could be right, but I've gotten to know a lot of folks here on myLot and most seem to be honest in what they share with us... I think it would bother me if I found out someone was lying to me here. I probably wouldn't keep talking with them.

What? Why, Ingrid? Everything is possible... Sometimes something happening is not probable, but there is always a possibility of something happening. There are also myriad of ways to increase the probability of something happening, too.

Yeah, that might be a good trick to teach a hummingbird, but you might have difficulty making it understand what you want! LOL! You might like going through more of her blog posts, too, Genipher... She keeps a small herd of horses as well as cattle on her farm in Texas. She tells a lot of stories about her favorite horses, too. She is well worth getting to know!
