Munching Green Things

Hubby is gone to look for parts for my Monte Carlo today. It was a very used car, so there are a lot of little things to make better.
One of the things I need to do today is assemble some salads. With weather like this that is what sounds good for most meals.
On our trip home we fueled at a gas station that had this Dino the dinosaur out front. When I was a kid you saw them often, then for a while you never saw one.
Naturally I had to snap a picture of this guy to have for discussions and such. He fits a discussion about making salads because he was a plant eater.
Many of the gasoline stations I remember as a kid are no longer around. Dino is the mascot of Sinclair company. They used to have really huge ones, now, this one is probably not more than 8 ft. tall.

@GardenGerty Those bones would be too big to fit into Esther Rantzen's teeth.

@Asylum The skin would likely be tough as well. Maybe I will eat the weeds and grass instead.

No not many of these dinos anymore. I imagine they might be vandalized if they were in the wrong place. I used to keep my fridge full of salads in the summer and we would have "salad bar" suppers, me and the kids when they were little.

@Marcyaz I think they had a big Sun on their sign. I imagine if they merged they may have had dinosaurs.

Ours is a 1998. It has been a popular model of car for a long time. Even sometimes made into police cars.

At one point I suspected that the company had gone out of business because I did not see them.

I will make the broccoli and cauliflower one that keeps really well and gets better with age. I know I will also do a regular dinner salad with greens and tomatoes and onions and celery and cucumber. That should start my next week well with whatever is left. I also may make guacamole.
