I know that some people are excited about olympics. But for some reason i don't find that much interesting. The reason being I am more of football and cricket fan. So these games just don't interest me. Not that I think they are any bad. It's just that I don't find them interesting.
That being said, those who are watching, please continue to watch. I may not contribute to those discussions. Oh and all of you have a good week ahead.

I was definitely keener on the Olympics when they were in London in 2012. But there are still some events which interest and excite me, particularly if a medal is a definite absolute for the UK!

If by football you mean soccer, I'm no fan of it. Golf (of all things!) is one of the sports this time around. I like to watch gymnastics just because those competitors do stuff with their bodies that seems impossible to me. The American women's gymnastics team came in with the gold this year and I got to see some of their amazing performances.
Tennis is a game I used to play for fun and like to watch these days. There have been some upsets in the Olympics this year. Venus Williams, a world-ranked player lost today, possibly the last Olympics she'll be in.
Michael Phelps has won two more gold medals in the swimming competitions, by the way. Are you familiar with him? He has tons of gold medals from the summer Olympics four years ago.
I thought all these performances were impressive, but maybe that's just me.
I'm amazed there's no cricket in the Olympics, but it's a game I know nothing of. I've heard some cricket matches go on and on and on and ......

I was never interested in Olympics. Never cared for it. I only read and knew about the winners because I needed that information for my students. Now that I don't so it's just not important.

Well, we have our own priorities to attend to and we just need to be kind and understanding with one another. I love to watch the olympic games or international competitions because I can see excellence in all or most of the athletes. However, I don't have much time to dwell on most of the events but to just wait for the news. I hope that football and cricket will be one of the events in the olympics so that your love for the sport and your country will motivate you to watch and be excited.

I'm not much of a sports fan but I'll still watch a bit here and there. I was saddened that there were some killings and that so many police are needed to try to protect the event.

Yeah I know not so much interesting. I am a big fan of Cricket matches. But I do watch Olympics because there are players who represent our company and we didn't even know their names. We need to support them after all they are representing our Country.
