We all like chocolate.....right? Well, get a load of this: You've heard of chocolate roses, right? Well, how about rose chocolates. Yes! The chocolatier Compartes has brought together white chocolate with an infusion of French rose into a pink chocolate bar. Crystallized rose petals and rose wine. Learn more here:
This grown-up chocolate is sure to be the next big thing.

I wonder how many bars you can eat before it becomes illegal to drive? Maybe a new law will be passed banning the act of driving under the influence of chocolate.

LOL! Wouldn't THAT be an interesting law! (grinning and shaking my head!) Hmmm... I haven't seen @vandana7 here eating her share of this pink chocolate, yet... I wonder how much longer it will take her to get here?

Ok, where are the samples? I think it would be interesting to try . . . I can't quite imagine how it would taste. I was kinda picturing shavings of this chocolate and shaping it into a rose - now that would be a great seller - as long as it doesn't melt easily!

@celticeagle I wonder what stores carry this and what the price tag is. We found this candy shop that had teeny chocolate bars (with pretty packaging) for $11.99!!

Hmmm... I am not terribly enthused about the pink color, but I suppose we all must make some sacrifices in our lives! (Too bad all sacrifices can't taste as good as that chocolate bar sounds!) I think this discussion needs some wider coverage. A pink chocolate bar is worth letting people know it exists!

Pink champagne-infused chocolate truffles have been around a while, and strawberry chocolate, bright pink, hearts too... Pink chocolate is not as tempting as the traditionally-coloured brown variety, in my opinion.

@pgntwo Hmmm... sort of like a dessert after the dessert? We always sat around after the meal savoring our dessert and talking long after the meal itself was over. We always continued to drink whatever drink we had with our meal.

@DaddyEvil Yes - some are ok, others are sickly. Eggnog chocolate barrels, or liqueur-filled chocolates are common at Christmas here... The Marc de champagne truffles (i think Lindt , the Swiss chocolatier, offers them too) are quite nice when consumed along with a strong espresso after a meal.

Irish coffee - how to make it
@DaddyEvil I am not sure where the "coffee after a meal" hails from either. It can be nice, rounding off a meal, and giving guests time to converse generally. A liqueur coffee, like an Irish coffee, is really nice after a celebratory meal - strong hot coffee in a glass, sugar, Irish whiskey, and a layer of fresh cream floated over the top... Mmmm....

The only time I have ever had pink chocolate was little pink chocolate mice I used to get when I was younger. And they were delicious.

I knew roses were edible (but I think only certain kinds) like rose water was used in the Narnia movie for the one treat Edmond loved and the name escapes me at the moment. Plus, some roses have rose hips which is used in vitamin C. That said, I would absolutely love to try this chocolate!

I love rose hips. We occasionally get rose hip wafers at the health food store that are delicious and good for us. I would love to try this chocolate too!

It's too pretty to eat. I love pink. But I don't think I would want to try that. I have had some rum chocolate a long time ago. The chocolates were a little too rich (in taste) for me.
