Oh No Some Very Bad News!

I was expecting a call today as my Son and his wife were going for their first baby doctors appointment. My Son called and his voice was filled with pain and agony as he shared about the doctors appointment. The doctor went to do the ultrasound and as he searched for the baby's heart beat there must have been an atmosphere of dread as the doctor told them there was NO HEARTBEAT. O God this is awful. They both are crushed as they were prepared to announce the due date today! I felt helpless as my Son cried on the phone over their loss. Please pray for this precious couple that they would be able to have children. The doctor told them that miscarriages are quite common and that she didn't do anything to cause it. It appears the baby died at 6 weeks old as she was 9 weeks along. My heart is broken for them as their is nothing I can do to ease their pain of their loss. It's a sad day today at the loss of my grandchild. Whom I know is in heaven and when we go to heaven we will meet him/her. I have one child in heaven too so they'll probably play together up there. Please pray for me that I would have comforting words for my Son as they grieve their loss. picture from bing.com

I am sincerely sorry, there is nothing you can do or say to ease their pain. This is an awfully bad news.

@Butchcass4 Listen, for the moment the only thing I would suggest is to consult another doctor immediately. I cannot understand why they want to wait. There is a risk waiting and I do not believe it's a good idea to wait.

@LadyDuck My Son said they want to give it 2 weeks just incase there not a mistake and it was too early to find the heart beat, so that was their decisions and I understand. We will have to wait and see what happens. Please keep them in your prayers Anna. Thank you

@Butchcass4 I understand, if this is the case, of course it's a lot better to wait.

Thank you for the prayers as they are definately needed right now as the wound is raw and open. My Sons hoping that its just the baby is too little to detect the heart beat right now. I don't know what to say to him as he's hoping still that the doctor must be wrong and I'm concerned he's setting themselves up for false hope. But our prayers will help pull them through this!

Kimberly, I am so saddened by this news of the loss in your family. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. May our Heavenly Father give you and your family strength and comfort now and in the days ahead to endure this sad occurrence. 2 Corinthians 1:2-4 (New International Version) 2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

I am so sorry. What an awful loss for your family. I never know the right words to say, there really aren't any, all you can do is just be there to listen to them.

Thank you for your condolences. It will take time to ease the pain of the loss we have experienced and God will comfort us in and through it. Please pray for my Son and his wife that they'll be able to have children. They've been together around 15 years and have done things in a very responsible way by planning. But nobody ever plans for a miscarriage it is devastating to the whole family. Again as I said time will heal all wounds. Thanks again!

@Butchcass4 I will. That has got to be so difficult. They sound like they want a child so very much, and there are so many kids that aren't loved like that. I will pray for them. Hang in there, Kim

@CinnamonGrl Thank you sweetheart. Yes they wanted this baby really bad. They were going to announce it on facebook today after the doctors visit. My Son is still hoping maybe the baby is too little for the heart beat to be detected. She goes back to the doctors in 2 weeks to see if the baby has been expelled from the uterus. This is going to be really hard on them when the baby comes out. Please pray for both of them as they need each other now more than ever!
