It's a Younger Me

My gosh yes, I was younger once. This is my 41 year old self. My hair looks a lot darker than usual in these, though. Standing in the shade, so I think the whole pic is darker. My best friend from ever since we were in Jr. High had come to see me, and she took these pictures. It was a surprise to get them in the mail yesterday - she'd run across them when she was doing some all purpose straightening up in her house.
Do you like to look at old pictures of yourself? I have so many mixed memories as most people do. I remember wearing that dress way past its prime. It came from the Avon catalog, I ordered clothes for work from there quite a bit.

Very nice pictures! I definitely prefer my pictures of when I was young than now. Wouldn't be nice if we could stay young forever?

@CinnamonGrl yes indeed some of me about six with saggy shorts, scabs on my knee and my feetin roller skates, I was carrying an old doll with a tin head I called grannie. more I will tell in a post lol,

@hereandthere Yeh, actually I've done just that! There were several of her amongst my dad's photos that she has copies of. There's a really cute one of her at about 14 with her guitar slung over her shoulder

My hair was strawberry blonde as a child and then it grew darker over time, so I called it strawberry brown lol. I liked that house, too but we were renting and eventually it was sold.

It's such a beautiful experience to get our owns old photograph, isn't it!
That photo of yours is pretty!
It's usually my experience that whenever I'm up for cleaning, I end up watching my old college books, or diary's or photographs.. Or anything like this. Mories always brings smile! :)

Beautiful pictures.. I sometimes like to look at old pictures and am surprised to see a younger me.. Big difference..

Thanks. I remember this visit when she took these pictures. She and one of her sons had come and they got to my house before I had gotten home from work. So she took these before I changed my clothes after work. In a minute I was going to be in jeans.

What a great picture. Looking back at old pictures brings back so many memories. I have mixed feelings when I look at my older pictures. Some of them I like and others not so much. Nice of your friend to send you those pictures.
