There are over 4,000 dogs and cats in Louisiana who are living in kill shelters. Many are there do to the flooding in the state a short time ago. Most of those 4,000 animals will die soon unless help arrives soon.
Wings of Rescue is an organization aimed at saving as many dogs and cats as possible. They are flying the pets out of Louisiana and taking them to places such as Canada and New England. They will be placed in shelters there, no kill shelters, that have room for these dogs and cats. They will have a good chance of being adopted once they get there.
There is a flight leaving today that will have around 125 dogs and cats on-board and taken to safety. They do rely on donations and I just couldn't help but donate. Therefore, knowing myLot payday was coming soon, yesterday I donated that money plus a little more to this cause.
The next time they ask I assure you I will be donating again. I can't even stand to think of all those precious lives being ended....it's not right.

I do feed several stray cats that live close to me and frequent my rear garden. They will be relying on my neighbour this week because he always puts out some food as well.
When I am home I usually use two large tins of cat food per day and often buy packs of chicken or ham, which they really enjoy. It probably costs me about £12 to £15 per week, but the alternative would be to let them go hungry and have to scavenge.

What a wonderful thing to do with your earnings. About once a month I drop off food at our local animal shelter to help the many homeless animals. It may not be a lot but every little bit helps.

I have seen many videos on YouTube posted by this organization. I admire all those who do something to help the animals. I buy food for the stray cats and put outside the back door every evening. In the morning the bowls are always empty.
