Best way to be happy at workplace

I am happy at my workplace. I have no tension with my colleagues.Reason is that I speak as less as possible.Some think that she is stupid and some think me oversmart??. But till the date,they couldn't understand why I am like that.Firstly, they criticized the behaviour but now they are trying to copy me??..

I find it is easy to be happy in a workplace if you're friendly with everyone and you don't bother with gossip. Of course, that doesn't always work because there's always someone who doesn't like people who won't gossip but it works for the most part! I've had some jobs I've enjoyed because I've worked with lovely people. I've done the same job and hated it because of the people.

Hello there Devyani ,greetings from the Philippines! I have read your discussion and I myself too is very happy at my work place.There is no reward in having a harmonious relationship with your co workers because perform well with your tasks.And I read here too that there is some misunderstanding with your co worker.Well it is expected that some of your co worker will take your actions in a different way.And the best thing to do is that you can approach them politely and nicely explain why you are acting that way in a good manner so that everything will be in its proper place.

Hello !! This is the thing why they are astonished.Because I am always very polite and nice to them ,even when some of them are not very polite.They are puzzled why don't I react when they don't behave nicely.I do all my duties very carefully and intelligently and with all my attention. For me, it's necessary to have harmony at workplace.Otherwise, it will be difficult to focus on work..

@Devyanii that is just fine dont be like them.treat them with kindness still because later on they will realize that being kind and polite is the best thing to do.just imagine if you will treat them differently and they will react to it of course it will be very hard if there is no unity and peace in the work place.
