USA - What May Happen Now

Do you know the Brit John Cleese? The man who introduced the world to the Ministry of Silly Walks*? Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers, Sir Lancelot of Camelot (Monty Python & The Quest for the Holy Grail)?
He's now taken it upon himself to give the US Americans a telling off. To help them realise the consequences their electing Donald Trump for President has. Maybe the outcome would have been different if the voters had considered all this before entering the voting booth. Please don't say that non-Americans should stay out of all this. After all, it affects the whole world.
Understandably, I can't post the whole speech here. That would be close to plagiarising. So I'm asking you to click on the link. I hope you'll be grateful for me opening your eyes. Sadly, I can't add "before it's too late". It is already too late. But you'll be among the happy few who saw the whole calamity coming.
Enjoy - if you can!

I am so happy when I laugh and laugh! I think that I have forgotten laughter a bit since I grew old.

Perhaps Trump should write a reposte in similar vein. Sadly, I don't think that he would even appreciate the humour in this, let alone be able to write anything remotely as funny.
I had an odd sense of déja vu over this. I'm sure that I've seen something very similar to this several years ago. It's ironic, perhaps, that the link you provide is to a page belonging to an American tatoo artist!

What can I say but THANKS! I don´t laugh often. But I usually laugh with (Monty Python´s films) and I laughed with this. I like wit. And I like it better when there´s some truth in it.

@marguicha I'm not so sure about understanding it. British humour isn't everybody's forte.

Good one! That was sadly amusing. Now if only one could figure out what magic potion was used to possess everyone in voting for The Mad Hatter as I fondly call him.

@MALUSE I meant that sarcastically. I am greatly hoping that when and if I can get back to visit my homeland it will still be there and in one piece.

@RasmaSandra I still can't explain th difference between irony and sarcasm, even though I think I know it. Sometimes.

I'm a big fan of Cleese, and love his sense of humour (even spelled the word correctly).

No, you didn't spell it correctly, Jeff! LMAO! You live in the U.S., which means you gotta lose that u in humor! (Even if the Queen takes us back, I can't see us going back to the original spelling here!)

@DaddyEvil Do you think HRH (Her Royal Highness) would be addressed as "Qeen" were the spellings to be overlooked?

@DaddyEvil So if I took the "u" out of humor, it would be spelled hmor!

Cleese obviously has no idea about " football "
The Americans are better at the English version than the English are.
Leave Scotland out of it.

OMG! I even agree on several of his points, M._L.! Although.... I do somewhat object to reverting to spelling the way the British English do! LMAO!
It might not be so bad being a protectorate under the Queen! (It couldn't be any worse than having Trump as our President!) (being totally serious here!)

@pgntwo Hmmm... I believe you would find that Hawaii would become a "forgotten" land for at least a while. Possibly fought over by the people of China/Japan/Korea... not really sure, though.

And just imagine how much easier it would be to flit back and forth between the States and Canada. Not sure what way HI would feature, it is a ways out in the Pacific, a stepping-stone to some of the other Protectorates in the area...

@MALUSE - Friend M.-L. - Thank you very much for suggesting "A Letter to the US"... as worthy of reviewing. Reading it reminded me of many of the uncomplimentary thoughts many have about the USA people's version of the English language.
Love those donuts, right-road-sided motoring, and the many other items that Cleese cited in his nonsensical diatribe. He left out several words that I can think of right away - "bloke instead of guy," "lorry instead of truck," "House of Commons instead of Congress," "lift instead of elevator," and "Englishman" instead of the torrent of names provided for them by the Irish. There are many more that he missed. However, the ex-colonists should be grateful to the English for providing the USA with the musical notes for its national anthem.
Now, that plagiarism of the anacreon drinking song was certainly about the biggest copycat one nation might ever have perpetrated toward its national anthem. (And the melody is as bad as its source is profane.) -Gus-
To Anacreon in Heaven - The Anthem I do not know about you, but I am very much into my years and today is the first time I became aware of the original melody...
