Lottery Ticket Update

Yup, it was a winner... but only $5. Another ticket for the next draw is $6. I didn't have a lick of cash on me so I bought $15 worth of scratch tickets for stocking stuffers along with getting another ticket for tomorrow's draw. Hopefully I had the magic touch when picking the scratch tickets. At the grocery store today I was told I already had $10 worth of Air Miles I could cash out on. I chose to leave it until the amount is bigger and makes a bigger impact on my bill.

Congrats! I'm not sure which one you bought but we usually buy one per week anyway!

@Marymargll It depends on what day it is. The next draw was Lotto Max so that's what I bought... tonight's draw.

@MarymargII 649 is twice a week and Lotto Max once a week. My husband buys for all three.

@AmbiePam I started buying lottery tickets when I became of age, but not consistently. I think I went decades without buying a lottery ticket. I know the first thing my daughter did when she turned 18 was buy a lottery ticket.

Congrats! Think how much effort you have to put here to earn that much

@Madshadi It's not that big of a deal. The ticket cost $6 to buy. But it's nice to see a winner rather than not a winner, and better that it's cash and not a free ticket, even if I did put the money back into another ticket.

@patgalca I see. Do you play the same numbers every time?

$5 seems hardly worth the effort but I guess it's better than nothing.

I am so not into lottery tickets. When I break down and purchase a ticket and it is a winner, I win double what I spend which is usually $1.00!

Better winning $5.00 than losing. I only won a "free ticket".

I won a free ticket on the one after that. LOL!

@KristenH It's just nice to see "winning ticket" on the screen rather than "not a winning ticket".
