Christmas at Disney

The last two days have been a whirlwind for me, with the Christmas holiday and trying to get ready for our family vacation. We celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve, as we got up at 5:00am to drive to Disney World on Christmas Day. It was magical getting to spend the holiday in the Magic Kingdom.
I didn't bring my laptop with me this time, so if or when I have a chance, I'll try to hop on this site every now and then over the next week. If you don't hear from me much, it's just because we're all having a blast at Disney World!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and hopefully I'll be talking to you all soon!

I had to respond to your post here because we'll be on the other side of states at Disneyland with the family too! We'll be back before the end of the week though - I might be able to fumble on the phone before then but probably won't. Enjoy your time at Disney World!!

@moffittjc We are back now - yes, we had a lovely time! I actually survived a few days without being online 
. We've only gone to Disney on this side (well, we only live like an hour from it) - but we always say we'd love to visit Disney World someday - I know it's a bigger place out there. Well hope you are having a blast with your family out there!!

@much2say Yes, Disney World is huge! 27,000 acres! And most of it is still undeveloped! They are building three new areas right now: Avatar Land at Animal Kingdom; and Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. Can't wait for them to open!

The crowds are horrible. This is the single busiest week of the year for Disney, and the parks will reach capacity early on in the day. It's crazy to think that people come from all over the world to visit Disney, and may not even be able to get into the parks!

It was a very special day for us! We're having a great time, although I wish it was a little cooler. But I know all the visitors from cold climates are probably in heaven right now! Haha

@simone10 The weather here at Disney has been amazing all week! Mild temps and clear skies! Today is cold though, as a cold front came through last night. But it feels amazing with the Florida sunshine!

The parks hit capacity every day between Christmas and New Years. We have been coming for so many years now that we know how to manage our time efficiently in all the parks.

I've never been to Disneyland, but it is on my bucket list as well. I've met people who have been to the Disney parks all over the world, and they all say Disney World is the biggest and best!

@noni1959 You should definitely go! I would advise you to research the slowest times of the year at Disney in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the parks.
