Cookie anyone?

I had a craving for butterscotch. I don't think I've ever eaten butterscotch other than as a Lifesaver. I decided I would make butterscotch cookies.
I bought the chips a few days ago, all other ingredients I had. It is basically a chocolate chip cookie recipe but you use butterscotch in place of chocolate. OK, sounded good.
This morning I got out the ingredients, preheated the oven and began. When the first batch was baked I let them cool and I tasted one...OMG - they are so so so sweet! Even my husband who loves sweet things even more than I do, said they are beyond sweet.
I now have over three dozen super-sweet cookies - so please - anyone want some?

They sound delicious. My son made a butterscotch and cinnamon pie during the holidays. It was wonderful.

I give this will be my last venture with butterscotch. I'll go back to chocolate LOL! Glad his pie was good.

@infatuatedbby trashed them. Deep fry - I don't deep fry anything, not a good way to cook.

I do I do......wish we lived closer....I like them right out of the oven and no I've never had butterscotch cookies but I would be willing to try a few...

While my daughter was home from university for Christmas break I did suggest she make her Skor and white chocolate chip cookies, which she did on her last day here. Though my husband knew about it and had a couple, he seems to have forgotten they are in the house so they're all mine!

@AbbyGreenhill Skor is a candy bar that is toffee coated in chocolate. Here you can buy a bag of Skor chips like you do chocolate chips. They're delicious.

I love butterscotch but you are so right they are so sweet it makes your hair curl. I made a batch for Christmas I think I ate two of them.

@AbbyGreenhill It would be nice if the decreased the sugar in those chips, but maybe next time I will decrease the sugar in the batter. Hmmmm that is an idea.
