Asking for Trouble - It has been many a year since my bride of 64 years and I chased the little baby birds from our nest. So, what would you believe we have just done in our old age? Now in our 80's, we are moving to a really nice place "out in the country," but not just by ourselves. One of our granddaughters (the oldest of them), her really super-nice husband and her little ones are going to be living with us there. Life is about to become both more interesting and a whole lot more complicated. We may all survive the changes in store. Anyway, take a tour with us through most of the place by way of the photos I made of these really nice "digs.". (The pix are all composite photos; that is, panoramas.) The pix, from the top down:- one of the large bathrooms, one of the bedrooms, the huge kitchen, and, finally, the living room. There are additional rooms, not shown. The quality of the pix suffers because I did not use a tripod for the camera, nor did I adjust the lighting, etc. - just some handheld camera snapshots - actually 16 individual shots in all. It is a great thing for generations to live together. Many we know have several family members sharing space, and really works for them.

@PatZAnthony - We are full of hope that things will go smoothly. I recognize that it will take a bit of getting used to the necessary changes, etc. -Gus-

It looks great. Might be a full house but I'll bet it will be a happy one.

@suziecat7 - Hi Suziecat - I hope that you are correct. That new place is nicely set up. Enough bedrooms, a "den," a little laundry room. large-enough fenced yard, carports, and a nifty neighborhood (well kept), a room for an office (computers, etc.), and close enough to parks, swimming pool, fitness center, shopping, etc. -Gus-

@Hatley - Ms Patsie - Well, you know how things are when we old ones attempt to fit in with the living styles of the young ones - especially so when the youngers have wee little ones to raise. So far, so good, however. Perhaps my bride and I will learn how to do all of this stuff. Sure does beat living in the big city. -Gus-

@Ceerios In no time you will be used to it and wonder how you ever got along without them. Give it the time you yourself would not give it to all fit into place. It will donĀ“t worry and have fun.

Best of luck with living with your granddaughter and her family. If you are all tolerant and respectful of each other, it should all work out fine.

@Daljinder - Hi "DJ" - The whole development there is neat, clean, and close to lots of other good stuff. The family being there is really good, too. Being that the grandchildren are adults and the greatgrandchildren are past the diapers and yowling stage, it should be a pleasure time for all. Hope so. -Gus-

@Daljinder - Sure enough, "DJ," but just think about it. Next comes teenager time. Now THAT is real stress. -Gus-

@bluesa - Well - Howdy Ms Catherine - I hope that you are having an enjoyable summer (or maybe it is yet springtime in SA...) I suspect that this new place is going to be one of temporary staying. We are desirous of getting a "farmlike" place with several houses and fishing ponds, fields to plant and things like that after about another year or two. -Gus-
