Now that I am Feeling Better....

United States

I guess I should focus on getting my house back in order. That darned maid had the audacity to take time off for illness. The back-up maid never showed up. Dishes, vacuuming the floors, mopping, and stripping the bed are all in order. Plus I have to venture out to do a little shopping seeing how the pantry doesn't replenish itself. The sun is shining so it will feel good to turn my face to the sun and get some free Vitamin D. Now off I go before I find another discussion that catches my eye. Later gators!

I am so glad that you are feeling better, it is amazing how fast housework builds up when you are down and out for a couple days. Enjoy getting out.

Getting out of here is what I look forward to most! Even if it is just to go to the store, I will be out and about.

On my lunch break today, I went outside and stood in the sun for an hour. I was freezing cold in my office, so it felt so good to get out in the warm sun. It was chilly out, but I could still feel the warmth of the sun on my face.

When I got to the store it was cloudy. The sun was trying to come back out, but it wouldn't have mattered as I was going to be in the store. Hopefully I will get a few moments of sunshine this week. There are only 49 more days til spring. I hate to wish my life away, but geez. I can't wait for spring to get here.

Too late! LOL. After I went shopping I was zapped. Now I am a slug and need to think about dinner. I am thinking about tacos. Easy peasy.

@DianneN I thought about spaghetti squash with meat sauce, but that seems like too much work.

@ElusiveButterfly now that can be a hard thing to do. The sinus stuff seems to hang around no matter what you do to it.

My alternate maid would kick in occasionally when he had a rain day at work. That didn't happen often.

At least you had that alternate. Mine looks at me like I have two heads if I mention I need help.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. That vitamin D will also help you out quite a bit. Once you get home and get into the rest mode you will probably need more sleep. Recovery time takes rest too.

I´m glad that you are feeling better. I have forgotten for many years the problems of hiring someone to help. Leticia has been with me and my family (all the time where is is most needed) that although I pay her for her work, I have no money to pay her for her all she does with love.

You sound like you are going to be very busy! Good for you! I am looking at the same thing, getting my house in order! It's been good to be home all day today, only the second one in the last month where I'm here all day and alone. I'm taking my time though, as I have nothing planned for this week.

I did manage to get the laundry done. The dishes are caught up. Also went shopping. Took me an hour to get what I needed. Thankfully, I only went to one store rather than 2. Even so, it knocked the wind out of my sails. Now I have to make our bed, do the dinner dishes, and make my husband's lunch. The vacuuming can wait for another day.

@ElusiveButterfly Hubby should be able to make his own lunch...and the bed too for that matter. Never trust men with the dishes though!

I didn't get much of it yesterday. Today we are expecting snow later in the day. Guess I'll have to rely on what my vitamin supplement provides.

I hope it went smoothly and you could get it done with a smile. Cleaning is a chore better done if you can feel good while you do it, at least it is for me.

I paid a little more for a few items, but it was worth it not to have to go to 2 stores to get what i needed.
