Ten years here on mylot.

I got the idea of this post from a post started by dear friend @JolietJake about our actual date of joining here on mylot. I found out that I joined mylot exactly on 27th Jan., 2007 i.e. ten years ago.
I could still recall from my memory that I started a post about graphology, which no one responded in the beginning. Then as usual, like newbies start discussions, I started a post that I am new to the mylot, please guide me how to go about the site. There were some encouraging responses, which helped me to understand the site.
I may mention here that the format of the site has undergone almost a complete change, in comparison to what it used to be in the year 2007.
I could proudly say now that I have completed ten years on mylot. It feels great to be loyal to the site for ten years at a stretch and this way I could claim to be one of the oldest members, active here on mylot. I am not sure how many other users are there, who joined in 2007 and are still active on mylot.
I met with some wonderful friends from all across the world during my journey here. I would like to thank all my dear friends here on mylot for helping me complete my journey of ten years on mylot.

I am here since 8 years I remember there was a lot of unpleasantness at Rediff Q&A and so many of us were leaving that place when someone there mentioned myLot.

@dpk262006 myLot is a laid back site. Right from my childhood I wanted to have interaction with the global audience and in those days it was through penfriend but I did not get many

@dpk262006 The only thing here is that there is no blogging kind of experience which i get at LiteracyBase but there all my friends have vanished.

You are right that ten years on a site is a pretty long time. I just can't believe that I have completed ten years here on mylot.

Yes, you are very right that I am a loyal member here. Since my joining mylot I did not jump to any other site and stuck to mylot only. I also cannot believe that I have completed ten years here.

@JudyEv - I remember that I also joined Helium once but later they revamped the site and did not allow members from India to join in the revamped site. I have not heard about infobarrel.
I joined Bubblews on suggestion of some friends (when mylot stopped paying its users few years ago) but I did not like the site because there was no interaction between members, as we do here on mylot. The beauty of mylot is interaction with friends across the Globe and to know about them and their culture.

@dpk262006 I've been on a few sites over time - Helium, Infobarrel then Bubblews. That was the first one where there was much interaction between members. When that folded a myLot member suggested myLot. I've enjoyed my time here very much.

@atoz1to10 Yes, I have lucky to have met one mylotter who was also from New Delhi. She is no longer active on mylot.
When I joined mylot in 2007, it used to pay. In between mylot stopped paying for 2-3 years, at that point of time many users left the site. However, it has started paying again two years ago and pattern of the site has undergone a change, since then lots of old and new members have joined mylot.
