Facts About Me - Valentine’s Day

I decided to do this week’s “Facts About Me” based on an upcoming holiday, Valentine’s Day. :)
1. So as far as dating goes, I’ve only ever had one actual Valentine. We exchanged gifts and went to the aquarium, where we ran into my late cousin and his girlfriend at the time. The four of us double-dated at a local pizza place.
2. I remember my parents giving us something for Valentine’s Day here and there, and I especially remember getting a heart-shaped box of chocolates with a Snoopy keychain on it.
3. I’m single, and I use Valentine’s Day as more of a family holiday. I’ll either buy for my designated Valentine, or just hand a small Valentine out to each member of the household. I always buy something for my Mother, regardless of how I exchange with anyone else.
4. I like to wear hearts and/or pink or red for Valentine’s Day. :)
And that’s it. :) Whether you celebrate or not, I hope you have a great weekend/upcoming week! :)

@tammys85 I forgot I was going to wear pink. I'm in my black and white sweater instead. My older son was here and we watched a movie together, but it wasn't a Valentine thing. It didn't even come up. I forgot it was Valentine's Day when he was here.

Tonight, I will be celebrating Valentine's Day with a meal out. It will be only the second time I've done anything for it in my life. The first time must have been 18 years ago with my eldest son's Dad.
I like to get little gifts for my partner but I don't expect anything from him. I know he loves me and he gets me chocolate when I need it. What more could I ask?!

@tammys85 We had a lovely time, thank you. We went for a meal with a couple of friends. My partner did get me a card so I was pleasantly surprised as I didn't expect anything at all, although he did pay for the meal.

@pumpkinjam Awe, it sounds like it was a sweet holiday. :) That was nice of him to get you a card and pay for the meal. :)

When I was a kid and still living with my parents, we used to celebrate Valentine's Day like it's Christmas.

I always think of Valentine's Day as celebrating with someone you care about, and that includes family. :) We don't shop like it's Christmas or anything, but we may get something small for others. I think last year is when I handed out Snoopy Valentine's, or it was the year before, haha.
