Hey everyone! I wasn't here much the last couple of days because my husband was home with us. The death of his friends son and nephew hit close to home and made him realize he needs to spend more time with us. Life is too short to waste.
It was so nice having him here. We watched movies, played cards, filed our taxes-finally, and we drank coffee together. =) The kids also played outside with daddy too!

I am so about the loss but I am, glad that he has taken the time to spend it with his family. It is nice to have some quality family time. Nice picture.

I can understand your husband wanting to stay close to you and the children when something like this has happened.
You are so right, life is too short to waste it. Sometimes it is more important to be with the ones you love.

@LovingMyBabies you'll have to try to make a family day happen more often. Not easy to do I know when you are trying to work to support your family.

@LovingMyBabies yikes lol 4 a day would be a lot! I love energy drinks but I do not like Redbull. I quit buying any though as I did not want to waste so much money on myself. My favorite were rockstar and monster pina colada flavor.

@shaggin Yeah which he's not supposed to be drinking at all but at least now he only has 1 a day instead of 4 a day.

@shaggin Yeah he was drinking way too many and then had a heart attack from it. So the doctor told him to stop drinking them. He lowered it to only 1 a day.

I love the photo! Kids love to mimic their parents, and some of my favorite photos of my own kids when they were little were when they were imitating something I was doing at the time. So cute!
I'm glad you got to spend some good quality time with your husband! I hope you enjoyed every minute of it!

@LovingMyBabies I have a great photo of me and my daughter when she was about 3 years old, I was out mowing the lawn one weekend, and she was following behind me with her toy mower. The photo shows the two of us mowing the yard together. One of my favorite photos!

I'm glad that you were able to spend some time with your husband. I can imagine that the deaths of your husband's friend's son and nephew must have hit him hard. Hopefully you're able to spend more time together. Life really is too short.
