Just nad lunch , usually my favorite chicken tacos and after eating half of the taco, I tasted something really awful and suddenly was sick to my tummy.I left the rest ate some Spanish rice and refried beans and the dessert custard.' A nice enough meal but I just found the sickening agent, a wad of Cilantro which I am very allergic to, The nausea will soon disappear as i took a benadryl to relieve the symptoms ugh. I found out I was allergic to Cilantro when I ate out friends at a Chinese restaurant. I got very nauseated and dizzy then upchucked t he whole . All I could taste was Cilantro. I avoid it as much as I can but I d id not taste this right away I feel better now, just a bit unnerved as I did not smell the stuff until I had a wad of it in my mouth. They seem to use it in so many dishes ugh. so onward and upward got to get some my lotting in before I have to go other things. One original post and graphic by " P Hatley copyrighted 20o17

Cilantro at a Chinese restaurant? How odd. I like it but then I'm not allergic to any foods.

I am not a fan of it, but I am nowhere that sensitive to it, it is pretty strong and gross though

True enough Cilantro does not suit everyone. It suits me well but now i can´t get any so there you go. At least you managed to eat the rest of the Dinner though.

Oh no - I've never known anyone who was allergic to cilantro! But I do know people either love the taste (which I happen to) or really hate it. Ah, so you do not eat salsa at all?

Very bad to hear about your allergy. It can be quite embarassing. I am lactose intolerant and have to carefully watch what i eat.

That is so sad (if you happen to like the taste!) We never buy or grow it because no one else likes the taste. Me... I love it, but I can do without it. I never thought of someone being allergic to it!! Hope that you feel better soon!

Down side to having food allergies is going to eat anywhere other than your house you have to ask if its used and say your allergic so that they can either change the recipe or just not put any in yours. Glad to hear you are okay.
