I finally join the roster of fellow members who got blocked because they manage to raise the hackles or get someone's goat. I attribute this to 3 possibilities. 1. I offended their moral values 2. I offended their sense of importance 3. They were having sphincter muscle problems. How do I feel? Mix emotions. But moving on. Photo: Alan Levin flickr CC

@ridingbet _Why will a "kababayan" block me? No names, in order to protect the anonymity of the anonymous.

@ridingbet _ I have never nor will I ever delete a comment even if it is hostile or combative. Remember what the late senator Miriam Santiago said? " I eat bullets for breakfast" and I am a fan of hers. I also notice the disappearance of those comments. Maybe they realize the error of their comments?

I discovered that I was blocked too by a user two days ago and I have no idea why. I saw their post, read it and liked and went to respond but there was no 'respond' button and I checked their profile and realised the sad truth. I have absolutely no idea why or when they blocked me and I can only think that they can't stand my carisma Do I care? Absolutely not! There are so many other Lotters here so I certainly don't miss being unable to communicate with only one. Their loss not mine for sure

I got blocked by a myLotter from abroad. But I didn't bother posting about it nor asking someone not blocked by her, why she blocked me. Though, I have read a lot of incidents of being blocked and it turned out that it was accidental.

@josie_ Hmm, I like your attitude. I have blocked a male myLotter here. I asked him to stop making below the belt jokes but still he persisted in making jokes, I blocked him.

@SIMPLYD _ He should be reminded about not making "below the belt" jokes. Men after all are more vulnerable below the belt compare to us.

@SIMPLYD _I don't block people because it feels like a cop-out and I don't want to admit I can't take whatever the person is dishing out. I make THEM block me instead by being more irritating.

I can never understand why people do that - they can ignore you just as easily as blocking. I was blocked by some woman on the second day I was here, for no reason at all. Love your number 3!

@allknowing _You can ignore them or you can post a discussion of your own to rebut their allegation. They not only can't comment in your post, you also earn from the interaction from others.

@josie_ I fully agree, how can you enlarge your knowledge if you refuse to read what the others write. I always try food before to say that I do not like it, even if I have the feeling that may be it's not something I would like. At least I know for sure.

@LadyDuck _ I enjoy a good discussion. It broadens my perspective. For me it is like a market, but of ideas. censorship (blocking) only narrow your choices. It is like food, but for thoughtful digestion. Taste it. you might like it.

Josefina - I've just noticed that I am blocked by a good friend of mine @allknowing. I can't believe that she did it on purpose, but obviously can't ask her. As the subject of your post is blocking, I hope you don't mind if I try to get her attention by mentioning her here.

You made me chuckled. i think you are a highly intelligent person...and definitely more informed than most! I have to put on my thinking cap around you...which I appreciate. I don't think I can be offended with you. The most I'll do is beg to differ. But this is a site for discussion and the best discussions are generated by a degree of conflict. So the person who 'blocked' you must be one of those who must think when the weather is warn, it is exciting news!
