Crazy Dog

I have two dogs, both rescues but I knew the owners. I have had them for years now. The beagle, Harley, is around 7-10 years old and His owner died at the age of 93 and that was Tony`s cousin and I had been around this dog since he was 8 weeks old so he knew me. The Golden retriever, Roscoe, I would say is around 3 years old now, when I got him I think he was not even a year old. A tenant got him but was not suppose to have animals, he was all over the neighborhood stealing newspapers and shoes, getting into trash because he was always hungry. I told the lady she had to get rid of him but after a while no one wanted him. While working at the rental houses he would come around and I would feed him and water him, she gave the dog to me. He still is a trash toter and will chew on anything. As most know its been a mild Winter and all I have had to do was pack their dog houses with straw. Then this extreme cold front came in and all the straw was wet in the fields so I took the dogs a blanket each late yesterday. Harley was happy and danced around running in and out of his dog house, they can sleep together and sometimes they do, Roscoe liked his as well and went to sleep in his house right away after I left. This morning I look out at the dogs and Harley is still inside his dog house. Roscoe? Nope he is laying in the sun on the cold ground, sleeping, His blanket out in the yard. I knew he would do this! I will take his and hang it up till late this evening, got another cold night coming. Do you have a crazy dog that you love?

My dog is quite normal in many ways, but is afraid of loud noises. She is an indoor dog.

Roscoe is scared of thunder but I think that is because he was shot once.

I have an 8 yr old Shiba Inu. Pollen counts are high here now so she's kind of drowsy on allergy meds now and a bit lazy. She'll perk up in the summer though. Your guys sound like a lot of fun!

I had 2 crazy dogs lately but a number over my lifetime. I got my Boston Terrier, Gus, in 2001 and my Boston Terrier/Rat Terrier, Cookie, in 2003. Gus got cancer and I put him down in 2014 and Cookie just got old. She was 17 when I let her go this past Monday. Crazy dogs, crazy!! They would play this game. Gus's jaws were so much stronger than Cookie's; I would give them bully sticks to chew on and after awhile (once Gus had made a good start on his) Cookie would jump up and bark then run through the dog door to the back yard. Of course Gus would follow and Cookie would run back in and steal his bully stick! He fell for it every single time--I wonder if he know she barked to get him to leave the stick and he just let her have it. They were great friends but sometimes Cookie would get fed up with Gus's bossiness and they'd have a fight. Not a hurt fight, just the human equivalent of smacking hands and wrestling. They were such good dogs. They were inside dogs, though. I liked having them around the house. I miss them but no more dogs for me. I'm 62 and I do not want to get a dog to love me only to leave him when I die.

There are a few tenants with dogs even though the lease says no dogs and they sneak them out but everyone knows. But, they all seem to behave and have had no problem. So far, no crazy dogs!

Preiti is a cleanliness freak. She will not sleep on dirty linen. She will remove it and not sleep until I put a clean sheet.

Dogs are crazy cool creatures. We had our dog named Dog for ten years. He was a stray that wondered into our yard and never left.

I have two small dogs and both are inside dogs who like to cuddle up on the carpet or the sofa. Both seem to sleep more than being awake. Guess life is really boring here

When our children were small we had a lab, border collie and ? Mix. She would rarely sleep in her dog house. When it was really cold she would come into the house and lay on the floor,at by the front door. At night she would sneak down to our basement family room and curl up in fro t of the wood stove.

Aww, I did have an old mixed up dog that hated to come in the house, he would not leave the front door and as soon as it opened he went out running, usually I only brought him in to clean up his feet, he went hunting with Tony all the time.

They sound great dogs. Golden retrievers are great but then so are beagles. They were lucky you took them in.

Dogs sometime do act crazy . My nephew can't understand why his keeps digging up the ground - and the plant from the plant pot.
