Poem

As a few have already stated, it is perfectly acceptable. Do try to make a bit of a discussion out of it though. It is also acceptable to post someone else's poem, provided that you give proper credit and add some discussion content 9such as critique, analyses, etc)

It's okay, as long as it's your content and not someone else's (no plagiarism). Many people post their own creations here. I don't know if your own content is going to grab attention and if you'll get a good amount of interaction, but it's something you can still do. You know, people can be lazy when it comes to reading. If you'd like to post a poem or short story you didn't write yourself, you can think of writing a review or your thoughts/opinions about it, and ask others what they think. And then you share a link to the original content, no copy and paste, obviously.

MyLot is a discussion site. As long as the poem or story clearly offers something to discuss (or is accompanied by text to make it into a discussion topic) and as long as it is your own, original work which has not been previously published elsewhere, it should normally be allowed. Make sure that you read the Guidelines carefully, so that you understand what is not permitted here!

Some of my writings here are written in a poem and it is not deleted. So it's okay as long as it is your own poem.
