Shopping on a Saturday is the Pits

I had to go and pick up my prescription so my daughter suggested that we run a few errands while we were out. It sounded like a good idea since the weather is supposed to change later this afternoon. One of our stops was the Dollar Store in a neighboring town and it sounded like a good idea when we thought about it. However, the parking was atrocious and then the store was beyond crowded, very hot and the lines were long. If I didn't need the things I had in my cart I would have left and gone back during the week. But it didn't make sense since I was already there. The rest of our errands went smoothly enough and we picked up some chili from Wendy's for lunch. Now that I'm home and relaxed I feel better but going out shopping on a Saturday isn't something I do very often. I hate crowded stores and hunting for a parking space. Do you try to avoid shopping on weekends?
