And We Are Home!

Goodbye Florida! Hello Connecticut! We had a quick flight home on Wednesday, were one of the first off the plane, walked to our son's waiting car, beat the parkway traffic, and arrived home to spot our first robin. My son delivered Doodles, the cat, yesterday, and he fell right into his old habits. Today, the cleaning lady cleaned our entire house, while I unpacked boxes that we shipped home. The grass is green, the flowers are blooming, and the birds are singing! We will have Florida temperatures and lots of sunshine arriving. Tonight we are meeting our younger son for dinner, and where else but by the sea! It's good to be home!

@DianneN It's better than it was. However still cloudy. Thankfully, it's going to be sunny and warmer over the weekend, which I am really happy about.

That's got to be so nice to have your house cleaned before you come home. I mean you already have so many things to get in order once you arrive home, it's nice that you have one less thing to worry about.

We got home on Wednesday and she cleaned on Friday. It was amazing that we had no dust since we left four months ago. I cleaned before we left, and the house was sealed up like a tomb. My son stopped by to check on things, but it was pretty good to come home to. I only changed the bedding.

Glad you made it home safely. I was thinking about you earlier today wondering when you were going to be back in Connecticut. It was beautiful here in PA for a few days then rained all day yesterday which caused flooding and now today it was snowing. Crazy weather. Monday it's supposed to be in the high 70s and K can't wait. A friend and I are going to take our kids for a walk to look for rocks around town. She just returned from Texas two days ago.

I missed it as we left, but being home, seeing my kids, getting Doodles back, and enjoying this amazing spring made it all worthwhile. Did I mention working on my notifications finally? Lol!
