Saving money

I find it so hard to save money. There is always something I want to spend on in the meantime. I have probably never managed to save more than a couple of hundred pounds at any point but now I find myself in a position where I need to save up £2,500 by the end of the year. Eek!! Wish me luck

It's not easy to save in our days, so many bills to pay. I wish you luck.

@ladyduck oh please don't remind me about the bills. It seems that every time I pay one bill another two come through the post!!

@chrissbergstrom it really is. I'll manage to save a bit, but then like a magpie I see shiny things and I have no willpower and suddenly I'm right back at the beginning again!

I am terrible at savings too. A little extra income helps if you are able to pick up some overtime or a second job. I only have about a thousand USD saved up and I would like to have enough to cover a few months of expenses in case of joblessness. Let me know what works for you! Best of luck

@YesWay Thats frustrating! Does your company offer any other types of jobs with more stable hours?

@maezee sadly I'm stuck where I am for the moment. Who knows though - things may change one day.

@maezee I wish I could commit the time for a second job, but my hours are so unstable I wouldn't be reliable enough.
