~What Is Going On-This Is Crazy~

I'm starting to feel like someone is messing with us! Lol. Last night with the homeless girl was strange enough but this morning we get an email saying we have used enough water in the last few days to fill up a pool! I know we haven't used THAT much water since we always do the same thing each day. Possible leak? Great. Now we have to investigate that issue. Then my husband went to pay our light bill. The lady added the money to our OLD house instead of our current one so my husband had to fax them the receipts that he paid the bill for our home and it went to the wrong place. They said it would be back on within 30 minutes. After an hour went by he called back and they said it would be 24 hours before getting it turned back on UNLESS he paid an extra fee to get it on earlier! Meanwhile it was THEIR mistake-not ours!! Grrr... He's there paying the extra fee now and we BETTER have lights again soon! Gracious, is this week over yet??

I would have refused to pay the extra fee for something that is THEIR mistake. Is this a more rural light company?

@ScribbledAdNauseum If we did that they wouldn't have turned it on for 24 hours.

@LovingMyBabies Speak to a supervisor and have them refund the extra money you paid. Not your mistake, it was theirs.

@Happy2beme It is ridiculous. They told my husband they will credit our account for it which I hope they do. We will see. Thanks me too!

@Happy2BeMe Thanks! The power is back on now so we are grateful we are not sweating anymore. It is insane that they are allowed to do that.

@LovingMyBabies I sure hope that they do. The power company around here is the same way. I have had mine cut off before, their fault too. It is ridiculous.

Oh goodness! What a day you are having. I am really sorry that you are having a rough day. Hopefully you get power sooner rather than later and that you don't get anymore bad news.

I would definately try to get that money back, talk to a supervisor or something. If it's their mistake you shouldn't have to pay the fee. That's crazy. At least its friday.

Both of those things are crazy, using too much water when you didn't and the electric bill going to the wrong house? It sounds like an episode from "The Twilight Zone"!

@Leapea2417 I know it was insane! They emailed us back a little bit ago saying the water was a mistake-it was for our old house not our current one.

@Morleyhunt We pay by the day, it's prepaid service here. They send you a text letting you know when your balance is getting low and we pay it. Usually it's fine but not today.

@NJChicaa No, they sent an email again and said it was for our old house not the one we live in! They keep getting the 2 places confused for some reason even though they know we moved!!

I am sorry you had no power and I am sorry they said you used enough water to fill a pool.I don't use much water at my apartment.I am charged maybe $10 monthly for water. Most of my water bill comes from sewer and garbage.

That is really annoying when it is the company that is at fault but they are making you pay.

I would call and talk to the boss in that company because its clear its their mistake and you should not have to pay a re-connection fee. Check to make sure the water hose is not on. Take the girl into town and drop her out at a shelter.
