Weekend Visitors

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been here much the last few days. I said I wanted to stay home and relax through the holidays and we did stay home but we had visitors. And that was awesome. My grandson from Arizona visited his dad and they spent the day with us. He had pictures of his little daughter and she's a pretty child with reddish hair like my grandson. We haven't seen her since she was a baby other than pictures. We had a lovely visit catching up. It was lucky that I had baked a cake and a pie. I also had a big watermelon cut up and ready to eat.
Then today my better halfs daughter and granddaughter came over. It was fun visiting with them. So. I got my wish. We stayed home and had welcomed visitors. It was an excellent weekend. How was your weekend.

'twas a quite weekend here. dunno if'n i'd know what to do with visitors these days? 'tis a shame that'cha aint got to be 'round that sweet babe ~ won't be long 'n she'll be all grown.

@RubyHawk perhaps they could come fer a bit this summer?? i know 'tis diff'cult fer those young'uns to travel these days. heck, we might's well be'n 'nother planet, eh? big hugs, ms. ruby!

@crazyhorseladycx I seriously doubt they will come any time soon. Both parents work and it's hard for them to both get away. As you say they might as well be on another planet. Big hugs back at you.

my weekend was any ordinary weekend; no activities but going to church and watching TV as always. good to know your visitors spent the weekend with you.

This is the last weekend. So it was great as usual. Visiting friends, meeting the old friends in a marriage function, talking to new friends over the phone were something more interesting for this weekend. This was totally a peculiar weekend for me which I never experienced. I have to see how the next one in the new month will be...
