How to Surprise a Woman

My husband is one in a billion! I love him so, but he gets giddy and can't contain himself if he has something to tell me. He gets a certain look on his face.
Tomorrow, as almost everyone in the free world knows, our month of June begins. It is my birthday month and my birthday is June 20th. Unlike some, I love celebrating with all my many friends and family.
Well, my husband make reservations at my favorite hotel in Boston for the weekend after my birthday and reservations for my favorite restaurants. I had him cancel high tea, because I can't possibly eat that much. His gift to me is that weekend and a day or two of shopping for anything I want.
I think he's more excited than I am, and I'm pretty excited. I just wish he'd get over himself.

Thank you! He's wonderful and loving to everyone.
We will just stay in the city. There is too much to see, do, and eat there. We used to go twice a year, but have only gone for dinner once since we bought our condo in Florida. And that was after dropping our son and his fiancée off at the airport.

@allknowing Giving is an awesome feeling. He's the type of person who prefers to give, rather than receive. It's his nature. You are definitely a giver who deserves to receive!

@DWDavis Massachusetts has some extraordinary areas. We have always loved Boston and used to go with our sons from the time our youngest was 2 years old. It was fun looking at all the universities, too, when they were high school juniors. The only thing we don't like about Boston is the driving there. It's insane. We leave our car at the hotel and either walk, take a cab, or the train.

Wow, nice birthday gift! I am lucky if I get a card or lunch at McDonald's. LOL. My husband isn't one to do a lot.

How lucky!
My husband tried to plan a weekend getaway for us around my birthday.. but I caught on to what he was doing and then started to help him plan it. He wanted to take us to NY city, but I said I want to do that with the kids, so instead we planned a weekend in Atlantic City. We ended up having to cancel because we just didn't have the money to do it.

@DianneN Yeah.. it wasn't too bad.. I do love planning trips though! I wish we could plan another one sometime soon.. but I'm saving up for our camping weekends in August, plus the Lion King is coming to our town and tickets just went on sale.. and we have a few household repairs to worry about... etc etc etc...

@katsmeow1213 The things you love are very expensive. We always waited to make sure we could afford things. I told our sons not to have big eyes when we moved to this upscale town. Then, family vacations were few and far between. Life will get better.
