Honey, Let's Go Car Shopping

And we are back! This morning my husband told me to shower and pretty myself up after my morning walk. He wanted to go car shopping.
We both knew what we wanted, but stopped at a nearby dealership for a looksee. Not bad, but off we went.
As soon as we walked into the second dealership, the owner happened to be there. My husband knew him, and my father did, too. He was so suave and debonair. It turns out, he has a place not far from us in Florida. We made plans to have dinner with him at The Breakers when we return.
We met with the salesman, test drove a car, then placed an order for the color we wanted. It comes fully loaded with every bell and whistle imaginable. We will have to make an appointment with the technology specialist to learn how to make the most use out of it. It should be in early next week. It has an amazingly smooth ride and a back seat the size of my living room.
We are both so excited!

@TiarasOceanView I'm technically challenged, so both of us will make an appointment with their tech guy. He should be able to help us get the most out of the car. It seems to do everything except fine washables.

@DianneN My nieces son collected too and he had their basement full of cars of different models. I too got him one from the toy shop when I was visiting with them (lol)

@allknowing Lol! You are hilarious and always good for a chuckle. We will have three cars when all is said and done, not counting our younger son's antique classic car that we garage for him. We told him that he better buy a house with three garages and keep his car at his house.

Sounds like a great choice! Enjoy your new car! We went to go look at the new cars while getting our car oil changed today. They tried to whoo my fiance with a newer version of his car. Almost worked but I intervined It isn't the one he wants, the one he wants is a limited edition and it's not in the dealership yet!

NOPe. My car is 5 years old but I have no plan to ditch it. But I do have plans to get a new one. I just don't know when that is.

That isn't our car, since we won't be getting it until Monday or Tuesday, but very similar. It's White with a light beige leather interior. Thank you! We got a sedan, since we don't need an SUV anymore. We are done buying cars for a while now. We have this, my husband's hybrid, and my sports car, which is a hard top convertible. And the car in Florida! lol
Car shopping is our retail therapy.

@DianneN Yeah, I wouldn't know how to use GPS for crying out loud. In all the years I've had the Saturn, I only had 1 minor repair (outside of general maintenance of course.)

Not new but I bought a 2011 Kia Soul for $2,900, one owner, one driver, super clean and I have already put 10,000 miles on it since December 2016 when I got it. I am now replacing tires, Last month I bought 2 front and next month I will buy two new back tires.
Is this a picture of your new car? What kind is it, its very nice.

You certainly got a great deal on your Kia. I heard they were great little cars. Glad to hear you are taking great care of it. That is what our car looks like, but we won't get it until the beginning of next week. It's a big, Lexus, sedan. We got rid of our SUV the day before we left for Florida.

@NJChicaa Lol! I backed out of the garage without opening the door, took a mirror off the driver side on our mailbox, and crunched the passenger side on a curved stone wall, again backing out of the garage. Strange, it all happened at home.

What color did you go with?
The car I'm currently driving is a 2011. It's the newest I've ever owned. I've had it for almost 2 years now. I'm paying way too much for it, and the interest rate is horrible.. but nobody will refinance me because I owe too much on the vehicle, ugh!

@DianneN Hubby and I both have black cars. I like black. We tend to stick with the same colors. I do like some of the bright, less common colors, but I have to drive a minivan for now, a bright purple minivan wouldn't really look so good, LOL.

Wow--sounds great! Beautiful car and I so hope you enjoy it! New cars are fun! We are not in the market right now, but I expect that we will be within the next year or so. I am thinking either an electric or a hybrid--

@DianneN You're welcome. Long story short: I get nervous when I brake a lot on the highway. That's what my former driving coaches and mother told me. So that ship had sailed a long time ago. Plus I can't afford a car and insurance nowadays.
